Buckle up, folks — Amazon Prime Day is back this July, and it's longer than ever

Finally, the announcement we've been eagerly awaiting has arrived. Amazon has unveiled the dates for its Prime Day sale in Australia, and thankfully for you, deal hunters, you won't have to wait long. The online retail giant has confirmed that Prime Day 2025 will take place from 12:01am AEST on Tuesday, 8 July to 11:59pm AEST on Monday, 14 July. Yes, you read that right — it's a massive week-long sale! It's officially the longest ever Prime Day we've seen, beating its impressive six-day Big Smile Sale in March and Prime Big Deal Days last October. From the latest tech and kitchen appliances to everyday essentials, the e-retailer has confirmed top deals during that time frame for 19 countries, including the US, UK, Canada and Singapore. However, Australia and Singapore seem to be the lucky ones, with an extra 72 hours to shop the sale. Not much else has been disclosed about the event at this point; however, we can expect some of the best Amazon AU deals of the year. If you're not a Prime member already, it's about time to sign up! If Prime Day 2024 sales were anything to go by, we can speculate that there will be great deals on a range of products, including Amazon's own devices. We anticipate that there will be discounts aplenty on Echo smart speakers, Ring and Blink cameras, Fire TV sticks and more. We're even hoping to snag a good bargain on Kindle ereaders, but we're keeping our expectations in check since we haven't seen them discounted since Black Friday 2024. If you're completely new to Prime Day sales, you can sign up for a 30-day Amazon Prime free trial so you can get the most out of Prime Day deals. Some membership benefits include free and same-day delivery, a Prime Video subscription and, of course, early access to member-exclusive sales. That said, to fully encapsulate all that Prime Day 2025 has to offer, you may want to hold off starting your trial until July 1 rolls around. That way, your 30-day window will allow you to shop till you drop throughout the entirety of Prime Week. If you do decide to sign up early, you'll still make the most of the sale, but you may miss out on the final deals window. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. So, if you've been eyeing your next Amazon purchase or want to shop big before the next major sales event rolls around, there's no better time to bag a bargain than during Prime Day 2025. We will be on deck during the entire sales week to hunt down the best deals as they appear, so be sure to check back when Prime Week is upon us. Until then, start getting your Amazon wishlist ready — there are only 20 days to go!

However, the retail behemoth has launched a new Tech Week with price cuts on a broad range of laptops, smart watches, gaming devices, and more. Amazon Tech Week started on Wednesday, May 7, and will continue until Tuesday, May 13. In a similar vein, Currys has just kicked off its 'A-May-zing Deals' event, with £80 off Dyson's Tower Fan, now priced at £269.99, down from £349.99. It features 'Air Multiplier' technology, which ensures rooms are continuously refreshed, with low noise and energy emissions. The fan is bladeless, making it easier to clean and ensuring it doesn't accumulate dust particles or release them into the air. Meanwhile, Argos is offering a Lenovo Tab 10.1inch tablet for £119.99, down 20 per cent from its £149.99 RRP. The 64GB tablet is designed to let users experience excellent browsing, gaming, and streaming, reports the Mirror. Amazon's Tech Week is now getting into its full swing, with current offerings including the Apple Watch Series 10, reduced to £329 from the original price of £429—that's a £100 discount. This smartwatch boasts a 30 per cent larger screen area to display vital health information like heart and respiratory rates, as well as monitor sleep patterns more easily. Apple Watch Series 10 £429 £329 Amazon BUY NOW Product Description The sporty gadget features built-in Activity Rings and a Workout app to keep track of activity levels and the intensity of workouts. With nearly 600 customer reviews, one user praised: "Like any Apple products, made and built with quality. Good price on Amazon - don't think Apple themselves will drop the price of their latest product!! Works as described, and delivery was great." However, another customer pointed out a downside regarding battery life: "I like the watch, and with a different strap, I only have slim wrists, it looks quite smart. However, I find it needs almost daily charging, which is a pain." Another satisfied buyer, who upgraded from an older model, observed significant improvements, saying: "Upgraded to the Series 10 from a Series 4!! Homewares deal of the week With summer on the horizon, you'll be wanting to spend more time in your garden relaxing. To help keep you protected from harmful UV rays, a stylish parasol can really refresh your outdoors space. Fortunately, Asda has just bought back its sell-out item that shoppers can't stop raving over. The supermarket's highly coveted Riviera Stripe Parasol was so popular when it first launched in 2024 that it apparently "sold out in nine weeks." Now, it can be yours for just £59 when you buy it here. The supermarket's summer garden staple is said to "bring a slice of the Riviera into any garden" thanks to its trendy striped canopy and intricate tassel edging that offers a "boho touch" to the design. It's not just a stylish addition to your garden, as the FSC-certified wood pole has a lean function that allows you to tilt the canopy whenever you feel the position sun shift. Meanwhile, the polycotton canopy is said to be "weatherproof", making it suitable for unpredictable UK summers. Since the Riviera Stripe Parasol sold out within just over two months last year, it's expected that it will be popular once again this year. It's also no surprise to hear that it has managed to amass glowing five-star reviews on the George at Asda website. One delighted customer wrote: "I'm blown away by how amazing this product is. I've been wanting to get a patterned parasol with a boho touch for a while, but unwilling to spend the £150+ that they normally are. I thought I'd give this one a go, but didn't expect much for the price. "It is exactly what I wanted. Furthermore it also tips and has a lovely case. It is stylish, good, waterproof fabric and looks like something you would get from a much fancier, 'bespoke' store. I could not recommend it more." The Riviera Stripe Parasol can be bought online at George at Asda for £59 here. "The battery life and screen quality are so much better. There is a lot more functionality, and it is great for tracking my walking, exercise, heart rate, and even oxygen saturation. Surprisingly accurate. It's a great watch, looks great, and is very comfortable on the wrist." Another monster Teach Week deal sees the LG OLED 55-Inch 4K UHD Smart TV slashed by 45 per cent. Normally retailing at £1,099, you can pick it up during this sale for £609 - saving you £490. It is an Amazon's Choice product, meaning it is highly-rated, well-priced, and available to ship immediately, and it boasts a 4.3 rating. Shoppers hailed it as a big improvement from their previous models. One wrote: "Very clear picture and excellent sound quality. A big step up from the previous LG television." But one customer complained that the remote control was "a nightmare" and made it "hard to use". However, another five-star reviewer added: "Huge improvement over my old TV. Excellent detailed picture. Sound is also much better." To shop more of Amazon Tech Week, click HERE. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
