Priscilla Presley, 80, makes very rare public appearance two years after devastating death of her daughter Lisa Marie

PRISCILLA Presley made a rare public appearance two years after she tragically lost her daughter Lisa Marie. The ex-wife of late rock 'n' roll icon Elvis was spotted out and about in Los Angeles this week. 8 8 8 Priscilla, 80, looked chic in a sheer floral purple blouse teamed with black flared trousers and a pair of heeled leather boots. The former actress and model wore her signature red hair pulled back in a sleek ponytail and a jeweled black clutch in hand. She looked composed and stylish as she strolled through Bel Air earlier this week with her security. Her appearance comes two years on after losing her daughter Lisa at the age of 54. She was rushed to the hospital on January 12 after her housekeeper found her unresponsive in the bedroom of her Calabasas home. Lisa Marie's death was caused by complications resulting from a small bowel obstruction, the coroner has said. The star's autopsy and toxicology reports revealed that there were two opioids in her system at the time of death, according to TMZ. Therapeutic levels of Oxycodone were found in Lisa Marie's blood, along with Buprenorphine, which is often taken to treat overuse of opioids, the outlet reported. Lisa Marie reportedly had a cosmetic procedure done a few months prior to her death and was prescribed the opioids. Traces of Quetiapine - an antipsychotic - were also found. Lisa Marie's urine toxicology was negative and no drug paraphernalia or narcotics were found at her home, the coroner report said. Lisa Marie Presley memorial updates — Elvis' daughter honored by Sarah Ferguson at Graceland as more tributes paid The bowel obstruction was said to have been caused by adhesions that formed after Lisa Marie had gastric bypass surgery years ago, though TMZ noted that opioids can cause constipation that can lead to bowel obstruction. RUSHED TO HOSPITAL Insiders previously told TMZ that the late singer's ex-husband Danny Keough performed CPR at their home until paramedics arrived. The pair was living together at a new multi-million-dollar home in a private enclave in Calabasas following their son Benjamin's suicide in 2020. Lisa Marie reportedly went into "full arrest" and was given adrenaline at least once to help her regain a pulse during the medical emergency. She was placed in an induced coma and was listed in critical condition before she died at a Los Angeles hospital hours later. Lisa Marie's mother Priscilla Presley announced her daughter's death in a statement shortly after. "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," the heartbroken mother said. "She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. "Thank you for your love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment." LISA MARIE'S FINAL DAYS Lisa Marie was last spotted at the 80th Golden Globes on January 10, where she celebrated her late father alongside her family and actor Austin Butler - who won an award for his portrayal of the King of Rock n' Roll in the biopic Elvis. The late singer looked frail in the days leading up to her collapse and she clung onto Butler's arm in photos before the event. Donning an all-black dress, Lisa Marie wrapped her arms around the actor for support as she walked across the red carpet and into the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Her eyes looked distanced and tired, and she had a slight slouch. In one final interview, Lisa Marie spoke slowly and appeared to slur her words at times after being asked about the movie. Footage also showed her telling Elvis' longtime friend Jerry Shilling: "I'm gonna grab your arm." Asked about her thoughts after seeing the movie Elvis for the first time, Lisa said: "I was mind blown, truly. "I actually had to take like five days to process it." She said she "hoped" it would be a wonderful night for Elvis, adding: "I adore him [Butler]." Extra's Billy Bush, who carried out the interview, told NewsNation that the famed singer seemed "off" during the chat. Speaking after her death, he said: "We had two steps up onto our platform. I asked her, here, let me lend you a hand to help you up. "She was on the arm of Jerry was holding her arm. "She was very much relying on his support for balance and she spoke very slowly. "And I can tell you this when the interview was over, I said to my crew, 'something's off.' "There's no question that she was off. She was a little slow." HOW DID PRISCILLA MEET ELVIS? Priscilla's stepfather was in the Air Force and was stationed with his family West Germany, which is where a young Priscilla met the superstar in 1959 in Bad Nauheim, while Elvis was in the army. She was just 14 but made a huge impression on Elvis, who was 24 and already a huge star. The couple met at a party and hit it off right away. But because of his age and rock star status, Priscilla's parents were slightly hesitant about allowing their daughter to get involved with him but soon warmed to him. The pair anaged to see each other often when he was in West Germany before he was discharged from the military in 1960. When he returned to America she was convinced the affair was over, but the pair stayed in touch via phone and eventually they were able to convince her parents to let her visit. She eventually moved in with him in Graceland in 1963 and they married in 1967 at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada - eight years after they first met. The superstar's brutal touring schedule put strain on the marriage, and both had affairs. Their marriage fell apart in 1973, but they stayed friends. 8 8

Country star causes outrage after singing for women to 'give up rights' and 'tale a slap' in controversial talk show appearance

An American musician sparked outrage after singing she would 'give up a few rights' and 'take a slap' if it meant she'd be treated more respectfully by men - in some divisive lyrics. Country star Jessie Murph, 20, performed the controversial tune on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, with the lines yearning for her beau to 'love her like it's 1965'. Her ballad was also nostalgic for a time period where courting gentlemen were 'handwriting letters' and 'showing up at the door with flowers' instead of 'hit[ting] [women] up on Snapchat ' at 2am. The star donned a Priscilla Presley beehive and a baby pink mini dress with patterned tights as she danced on a stage with a retro sofa in what appears to be a recreation of the 'tradwife' lifestyle, charming husband on hand. The term refers to women who perform 'traditional' gendered roles, often likened to the archetypal 1950s 'housewife'. Recent interest in the aesthetic has seen millions on social media calling for girls to ditch corporate life and instead, dedicate their days to cooking, cleaning, wearing modest and feminine dress, and practicing traditional etiquette - as well as being submissive to their husbands. Jessie's tune attracted fury online, with many branding the remark 'tasteless' for making light of a time in which women endured horrific misogyny. In both England and the US, marital rape was still legal during the era, and women could not open their own bank account, among other restrictions. 'In 1965, it was legal for men to rape their wives. I don't care if this is meant to be ironic or satirical or whatever, I absolutely hate it,' one commenter on social media penned. Another added: 'Like what does loving like it's 1965 even mean? Getting your a** beat? having no rights is romantic? I hate the white woman 50s-60s "aesthetic".' A third simply exclaimed: '"I think id give up a few rights if you would just love me like it's 1965" SORRY?????' 'Call me too woke but "I would give up rights if you love me like it's 1965" at a time where women are actually losing rights is so insane???' another offered. Others similarly agreed, writing: 'Has anyone else heard the song 1965 by Jessie Murph? 'Read the lyrics, it's literally far right propaganda that is encouraging women to give up their rights. People are saying it's satire but given everything going on, why say this while we are literally at risk of losing our rights ??'. She's not the only performer to have attracted backlash for similar aesthetics in recent months. In June, Sabrina Carpenter announced her new album Man's Best Friend - but the cover art for the upcoming release sparked fierce criticism from fans. During an Instagram Live, the 26-year-old pop singer shared a video of herself flipping through a stack of records by Donna Summer, ABBA, and Dolly Parton, before stopping on her own, revealing Man's Best Friend. Jessie's lyrics attracted fury online, with many believing the remark was tasteless and made light of a period of horrific misogyny for women Earlier this year, Jessie turned up at the ACM Awards 2025 in Texas with a baby piglet in her arms The teaser gave a peek at the album cover, showing Carpenter on all fours while a person dressed in black slacks — whose face is not visible — pulls her blonde hair. She also posted a close-up image of a heart-shaped dog collar engraved with Man's Best Friend. The highly sexualized and provocative album art quickly drew backlash, and she later released a more conservative alternative. After her performance, Jessie thanked the Tonight show for a 'dazzling' and 'grand time'. The Alabama-born singer first rose to fame from uploading vlogs and song covers to TikTok and YouTube - which led her on to releasing her two albums: That Ain't No Man That's the Devil in 2024 and Sex Hysteria in 2025. She also received backlash when the music video for her song, 1965, was released - with some accusing the footage of being pornography, Taste of Country reported. In the retro-inspired clips that shows a family around a table - and Jessie forlornly singing to a child - as there is also a brief shot of a couple having sex. The clip - which has to have age verification to be watched - drew comments like 'the fact that YouTube removes videos for way less and this is still up is insane' and having a child in this video, especially just before a sexual scene, is wild'. The track also includes risque lines like 'I might get a little slap-slap, but you wouldn't hit me on Snapchat' and 'I would be twenty, and it'd be acceptable for you to be forty'. Jessie resorted to taking to TikTok to insist that 'the entire song is satire', quipping: 'Are y'all stupid?'. It's not the first time Jessie sparked attention in the media. In May, the singer turned heads at the ACM awards 2025 after she bizarrely rocked up on the red carpet with a baby pig. Talking to Entertainment Tonight before the show, she introduced the 'little guy' as Wilbur. 'I just decided that I wanted a pig, and I've always wanted one my whole life,' she explained. 'I've always wanted a mini pig, and then I find out that miniature pigs don't exist.'

I thought my parents bought me fireworks. I was so wrong. It was a 4-piece red sparkle Pearl set of drums. I started taking lessons immediately, and I still play today. Elvis' ex meets her old American Idol honcho boyfriend for dinner in Malibu as they share a warm embrace

Former flames Priscilla Presley and Nigel Lythgoe, 75, were seen exiting a dinner date in Malibu on Wednesday evening. Elvis Presley's former wife looked lovely at 80-years-old in a black blouse with sheer sleeves and wide-legged black slacks. Lythgoe, who produced American Idol, looked casual in a graphic t-shirt, jeans and a white sports coat. Priscilla and Nigel dated from 2006 to 2009 after meeting while American Idol was being filmed at Graceland. According to a 2011 interview with Lythgoe, Priscilla had recently broken up with her boyfriend and he freshly separated from his now ex-wife Bonne Lythgoe. He said he really needed therapy, but having dinners with Priscilla was more enjoyable. 'She was just finishing a relationship,' the So You Think You Can Dance host told the Daily Mail in 2011. 'She got me through a lot. The divorce devastated me.' He added: 'I tried a therapist but it didn't work for me. It was easier to go out to dinners with Priscilla. We had many nights of talking.' 'The divorce devastated me. I hadn't necessarily been a good boy through the 34 years,' he said. 'We'd had our ups and downs – other relationships. But we stuck together. After 34 years I guess I didn't think we'd ever split up. It was terribly, terribly hard.' And it seems that Priscilla and Nigel were not intimate with each other while they dated. 'I don't have to sleep with all my girlfriends,' he said. 'I can't because two of them wouldn't like to know about the other one. I believe a good sex life makes you healthy, but I don't think I can pin myself down to one person at the moment.' Lythgoe got the name 'Nasty Nigel' after he devastated a contestant while he was a judge on the series Pop Stars. He told told contestant Kym Marsh: 'Christmas may be gone but I see the goose is still fat,' causing her to cry. Meanwhile, Priscilla is embroiled in an ongoing elder abuse lawsuit in which she claims her business partners stole $1million from her. In the latest move in the case against Brigitte Kruse, Kevin Fialko, Vahe Sislyan and Lynn Walker Wright, Priscilla won the right to have the proceedings heard in California rather than Florida Priscilla's latest nightmare allegedly began when she met Kruse, who ran a business selling Elvis memorabilia through an auction house, the filing claimed. She claimed Kruse convinced her to discard her former financial advisors who they said were 'deceitful and incompetent', before allegedly convincing her to sign contracts and form companies under her name. But under this guise, Priscilla was allegedly signing away 80 percent of her income to Kruse and her associates. Priscilla claimed the group left her with minority shares in companies they created which profited off her 'name, image and likeness'. The lawsuit also names Priscilla Presley Partners, LLC. The lawsuit alleges $500,000 in funds from the 2023 biopic Priscilla, which starred Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaeny, was also misappropriated and branded Kruse a 'con artist and pathological liar'. Priscilla also claimed the group 'torpedoed' a deal for the star to get an ownership interest in Cilla cosmetics company, but instead settled for $300,000, which allegedly went straight into their bank accounts. In the most recent filing, Priscilla revealed the jaw-dropping amount the group is said to have stolen from her – more than $1million from '34 paid appearances worldwide' that were collected in just a year. Priscilla, who divorced Elvis in 1973, four years before his death, also alleged that Kruse and her associates had begun a 'barraging' campaign against her 'contractual partners, associates, personal assistants and family members' with cease and desist letters in an attempt to stop them from doing business with her. Florida-based Kruse, who auctioned multiple Elvis-owned items including the gun he bought in 1973 after he was attacked onstage, has also taken her own measures against Priscilla with a lawsuit filed in February for breach of contract. According to the memorabilia dealer, she was Priscilla's financial savior, swooping in when she was '60 days away from financial collapse' and had outstanding tax debts of $700,000.
