Prisoners' Affairs Authority: Detainees in Gilboa Prison Suffer from Severe Cold and Starvation
Ramallah - Saba: The Prisoners' Affairs Authority reported in a report that conditions in Gilboa Prison are still bad and have become more severe after the start of the Israeli war of extermination against our people in Gaza and the West Bank on October 7, 2023, as detainees suffer from severe cold and systematic starvation. The Authority's lawyer reported in her report that prisoner Ibrahim Adnan Harb (48 years old) from the town of Iskaka "Salfit District", has been detained since 10-5-2023 and is in Section Three, Room No. 12 in Gilboa Prison, where he spent nine and a half months there before being transferred to administrative detention for 4 months with its renewal for another 4 months. Al-Qassam Brigades announce names of captives to be released, Thursday
CAIRO – 29 January 2025: Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman, Abu Ubeida, announced on Wednesday the names of captives expected to be released tomorrow, Thursday. The prisoners' names as announced, are: Arbel Yehud, Agam Berger, and Gadi Moshe Moses. For its part, the Prisoners' Affairs Authority said that the occupation authorities handed over a list of the names of 69 detainees from the Gaza Strip and their places of detention in its prisons and camps. The release of prisoner Arbel Yehud comes as part of a new understanding between Hamas and Israel, which stipulates that the movement will hand captive 'Arbel Yehud' and two other detainees before Friday. Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari said, 'An understanding has been reached that Hamas will hand over hostage Arbel Yehud and two hostages before Friday, and Hamas will hand over three additional hostages on Saturday according to the agreement, in addition to providing information on the number of hostages who will be released as part of the first phase of the agreement.' 'In return, the Israeli authorities will allow, starting Monday morning, the return of displaced citizens in the Gaza Strip from the south to the northern areas of the Strip, and will hand over a list of the names of 400 people who have been arrested since October 7, 2023 every Sunday in the first phase,' Al-Ansari added. On Wednesday, January 15, an agreement has been approved to halt war in Gaza with Egyptian, American, and Qatari mediation, after nearly 15 months of suffering and violence that led to the killing of more than 46,707 Palestinian people. The deal came into force on Sunday January 19, as three Israeli female prisoners were released, and other 90 Palestinian prisoners followed them after nearly 7 hours of waiting. The spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida said that the movement made every effort to preserve the lives of prisoners held in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. Also on Saturday 25 January, four Israeli soldier prisoners were released, in exchange of 200 Palestinian prisoners. The four released soldiers were Karina Arif, Danielle Gilboa, Naama Levy, and Liri Elbag, according to the list published by Hamas, Friday. The female soldiers appeared in military uniform and in good health alongside Hamas members on a platform set up in the square.
