Tubas – SABA: Israeli occupation forces arrested a young man from the town of Tammun on Sunday evening as he passed through a military checkpoint recently erected by the forces in the Al-Hamra area. Kamal Bani Ouda, director of the Prisoners' Club in Tubas, reported that the occupation forces detained freed prisoner Othman Ahmad Bani Ouda from Tammun at the Al-Hamra checkpoint and confiscated his private vehicle. Israel Holds Two Pregnant Palestinian Women in Harsh Prison Conditions
DaysofPal — Human rights groups have sounded the alarm over the deteriorating health and prison conditions of two pregnant Palestinian detainees, Reema Balawi from Tulkarem and Zahraa Al-Kawazbeh from Bethlehem, currently being held in Israel's Damon Prison under increasingly harsh and inhumane circumstances. According to a statement released Wednesday by the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, both women are five months pregnant and are suffering from 'organized and systematic violations,' including starvation and the denial of basic necessities. The organization accused the Israeli prison administration of deliberately withholding essential needs from both women, as part of broader policies of deprivation targeting Palestinian prisoners, even those with critical health and maternity needs. Reema Balawi, 31, a mother of two, was arrested from her home in Tulkarem in February 2025 on charges of alleged 'incitement.' Zahraa Al-Kawazbeh, 37, a mother of three, was detained in early April 2025 while returning with her family from Jericho. Israeli courts have extended their detention multiple times, with upcoming hearings scheduled for May 18 for Al-Kawazbeh and June 15 for Balawi. The Prisoners' Club noted that Balawi suffers from blood disorders due to thalassemia and needs ongoing medical care. Al-Kawazbeh has neurological issues and also requires urgent medical attention. The group warned that these conditions are part of a larger pattern of systematic arrests of Palestinian women, which has escalated since Israel launched its full-scale assault on Gaza on October 7, 2023. Since the start of the war, human rights organizations have documented 525 arrests of Palestinian women. As of now, 37 women remain imprisoned, including two who are five months pregnant. Advocates are calling on international human rights bodies to intervene immediately and pressure Israel to uphold the medical and humanitarian rights of all detainees, especially pregnant women whose lives and unborn children are at risk.

Zionist enemy continues to detain two pregnant prisoners in harsh conditions in "Damon" prison
Ramallah - Saba: The Zionist enemy authorities continue to target women through systematic arrests, which have escalated in an unprecedented manner since the start of the genocide, as specialized institutions have documented 525 arrests among women since the start of the genocide, and today the enemy continues to arrest 37 female prisoners, based on the documentation operations until today, including two pregnant prisoners in their fifth month (Rima Balawi from Tulkarm, and Zahraa Al-Kawazbeh from Bethlehem). The Palestinian Prisoners Club said today, Wednesday, in a statement, that the two prisoners Balawi and Kawazbeh are detained in harsh and difficult conditions in Damon Prison, and like all prisoners, they are subjected to systematic and organized crimes, including the crime of starvation, which cast a shadow on the statements of the two prisoners during their visit in Damon prison recently, in addition to a number of systematic deprivation policies, which affected even their basic needs. The Prisoner's Club explained that Balawi (31 years), a mother of two daughters, was arrested from her house in Tulkarm, in February 2025, on the background of what the occupation calls (incitement), while Kawazbeh (37 years), a mother of three children, was arrested after the occupation forces set up a military checkpoint. This was at the beginning of April 2025, and the enemy courts extended their detention several times over the past period, and a new court session is supposed to be held for prisoner Balawi on 6/15/2025, while a new court session will be held for prisoner Kawazbeh on 5/18/2025. The prisoners also suffer doubly by depriving them of their children, as the prison system continues to deprive the families of prisoners since the genocide from visiting them, as the issue of depriving them of their children constitutes a double suffering that has made many of them face difficult psychological conditions. He stated that the targeting of women for what the enemy claims (incitement) on social media is today the most prominent issue that has escalated in an unprecedented manner since the beginning of the genocide. In addition to women, it has targeted all segments of Palestinian society and has become a central tool to impose more control , censorship and limit freedom of opinion and expression, noting that what the enemy claims (incitement) is a broad concept, through which it has expanded the circle of arrests that have affected thousands since the genocide, and in essence constitutes another form of administrative detention policy, which has affected thousands, including women and children, and has also constituted the most prominent issues that have witnessed a historical transformation since the genocide. In this context, the Prisoners' Club held the enemy authorities fully responsible for the fate of all female prisoners, including the two prisoners (Balawi and Kawazbeh), and called again on the international human rights system, led by the United Nations, to restore its necessary role in the face of the continuing atrocities and crimes practiced by the Israeli enemy, in light of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people, and the systematic crimes against prisoners in enemy prisons that constitute another face of genocide and an extension of it. It is worth mentioning that the number of prisoners in enemy prisons, as of the beginning of May 2025, amounted to more than 10,100, including 3,577 administrative detainees. Number of detained journalists rise to 49 since starting Israeli aggression on Gaza
Occupied al-Quds- Saba: The Palestinian Prisoners' Club announced that the number of journalists detained in Israeli occupation prisons has risen to 49 since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023, following the arrest of journalist Ali al-Samoudi from Jenin this morning. The club said in a statement that the 49 detained journalists are among (177) male and female journalists who have been arrested and detained since the beginning of the genocide, based on documentation and monitoring conducted by institutions. The club explained that the occupation authorities continue to escalate their targeting of Palestinian journalists through systematic arrests, in addition to daily targeting of journalists while performing their work. It pointed out that the assassinations of journalists in Gaza continue, during what is the bloodiest period for journalists, in an ongoing attempt to target the truth and the Palestinian narrative. The club confirmed that the occupation authorities in the West Bank target journalists through administrative detention, under the pretext of having a "secret file." They number (19) of the total number of detained journalists. The most recent individuals to receive administrative detention orders were journalists Samer Khweira and Ibrahim Abu Safia. It added that the occupation is targeting them through arrests based on what it calls "incitement," meaning that they are being detained on the basis of freedom of opinion and expression. Social media platforms have become a tool for suppressing journalists and imposing increased control and censorship over their work. The club pointed out that journalists are subjected to all the systematic crimes faced by detainees, including starvation, medical crimes, torture, and numerous forms of abuse. The Prisoners' Club renewed its call for the international human rights system to restore its true and necessary role and end the systematic impotence that has cast a shadow over the humanitarian system since the beginning of the genocide, one of the most prominent aspects of which are the crimes committed against detainees in Israeli prisons and camps. The club called for ensuring the protection of journalists and their work, which has been the most prominent tool in revealing the extent of the genocide crimes. The club noted that the arrests include those who were detained and kept in detention by the occupation, as well as those who were later released. It is worth noting that the Israeli occupation continues to detain dozens of journalists in Gaza under the "Unlawful Combatant" Law, some of whom remain subject to enforced disappearance.
