At least 18 Kanwariyas (pilgrims) were killed and several others injured in a devastating collision between a bus and a truck on the Godda-Deoghar main road in the Mohanpur police station area of Deoghar district, Jharkhand, early on Tuesday morning, July 29. The accident occurred around 5:30 AM near Jamunia More. The bus, reportedly carrying pilgrims on their way to offer water at a holy site, collided with a truck. Upon receiving information from local residents, Mohanpur Station House Officer Priyaranjan Kumar, along with his team, immediately rushed to the accident site. The injured were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the tragic accident.
