You Know the 'Too Much' Cast from 'Fleabag,' 'Game of Thrones,' and More

For those who have been rewatching Girls recently, Lena Dunham just dropped another new binge-worthy series. Netflix's Too Much—out now—follows Jessica (Megan Stalter), a young woman who moves from New York to London after experiencing a messy breakup. Across the pond, she meets and begins falling for a British musician named Felix (Will Sharpe). And like any Dunham project, the rest of the cast is stacked. 'I honestly can't believe it happened,' Dunham told Tudum about Too Much's all-star ensemble. 'There were so many actors that I respect that I was like, 'Even if the character is in one episode or four episodes, I want to give them something to grab onto.'' Below, get to know the main cast of Too Much. Megan Stalter (Hacks, Problemista) plays the lead character Jessica, a heartbroken young woman who relocates to London for a job after a bad breakup. There, she meets a charming musician named Felix (Will Sharpe). Will Sharpe (The White Lotus, A Real Pain) plays Felix, a British musician who meets Jessica after one of his performances at a local pub. Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Penguin) plays Jessica's ex, Zev, who dumps her for an influencer. Emily Ratajkowski (Gone Girl, I Feel Pretty) plays Wendy, an influencer and Zev's new fiancée. Lena Dunham (Girls, Catherine Called Birdy) also stars in her series as Nora, Jessica's older sister, who recently separated from her husband. Andrew Rannells (GIRLS5EVA, Girls) plays Jameson, Nora's ex who left her to 'explore non-monogamy with a couple who are both named Cody.' He's also Jessica's boss who sends her to London on a work assignment. Rita Wilson (Asteroid City, Sleepless in Seattle) plays Lois, Jessica and Nora's mom. Rhea Perlman (Matilda, Barbie) plays Dottie, Jessica and Nora's grandmother. The whole family lives in her home in Great Neck, Long Island. Janicza Bravo (Zola, Sharp Stick) plays Kim, a creative director and Jessica's new co-worker. Leo Reich, a British comedian, plays Boss, one of Jessica's Gen Z colleagues and Kim's assistant. Andrew Scott (All of Us Strangers, Fleabag) plays James, another one of Jessica's new London colleagues and a director for the ad campaign she's working on. Richard E. Grant (Saltburn, Can You Ever Forgive Me?) plays Jonno, Jessica's new boss at her London ad agency. Naomi Watts (Mulholland Drive, The Impossible) plays Ann, Jonno's wife. She hosts a dinner party for everyone at the agency, and she and Jessica become fast friends. Adwoa Aboah (Top Boy) plays Linnea, Felix's girlfriend at the beginning of the season. Their relationship doesn't last long once he meets Jessica at the pub. Adèle Exarchopoulos (Blue Is the Warmest Color) plays Polly, Felix's former girlfriend whom he dated for 10 years. The two still remain good friends. Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) plays Jessica's dad. He passed away from Parkinson's disease when she was young, so he appears in flashback scenes. Jessica Alba (Fantastic Four, Honey) stars as herself. In episode one, before Jessica (Stalter) moves to London, she hires her agency to create a commercial for her company in New York. Rita Ora (Fifty Shades of Grey) also stars as herself. She plays Santa in Jim and Jessica's Christmas ad campaign.

Janicza Bravo (Zola, Sharp Stick) plays Kim, a creative director and Jessica's new co-worker. Watts plays Jessica's boss's wife, an extremely wealthy woman who she has a particularly exuberant interaction with at a dinner party... Kim's assistant and Jessica's Gen Z colleague. 'I'd seen a stand-up special of [Leo's],' says Dunham, 'and thought, "This is a kid genius."' One of three Pollys, but really, the main Polly. Polly is Felix's friend and former on-off lover/it's complicated. You'll recognise Exarchopoulos from breakout film Blue Is The Warmest Colour - she also voices Ennui in Inside Out 2. Scott, who you'll know from Fleabag, Sherlock Holmes and more plays a director that Jessica comes into contact with as part of a work assignment. Another of Jessica's colleagues, who has something on and off maybe going with Kim... you'll recognise her from The Alienist. The Game of Thrones star appears as Jessica's father in a series of important and emotional flashbacks. Auggie is Will's flatmate, friend and bandmate - you may remember him playing Martin Bashir in The Crown or in Patrick Melrose. Gaz is Jessica's neighbour and actually a sweet and caring presence in her life during her stay. He played Tommen Baratheon in Game Of Thrones. The A List actor (and Instagram favourite follow for me) Grant, plays Jessica's boss. Speaking about his casting, Dunham said: 'Richard E. Grant is this kind of incredible kind of British maximalism coupled with major pathos and physical comedy.' Juliana Ukiomogbe is the former Assistant Editor at ELLE. Her work has previously appeared in Interview, i-D, Teen Vogue, Nylon, and more.

Julio Torres: ‘When I worked at SNL, I thought Shawn Mendes was an intern'

Your first comedy show was called My Favourite Shapes. What is your least favourite shape? A pentagon. Or an octagon. There's a rigidity to it that I find displacing. What's the oldest thing you own and why do you still have it? You know, I was just going into what I refer to as the forbidden closet in my apartment, which is just a door that I never open. And I saw in there a picture of the inside of a church that my mother took when she was in college. There is something eerie and mysterious and evocative about the photo. I like thinking of her as a young creative. What's the strangest thing you have in your fridge right now? The beautiful, strange patterns that mould creates over takeout. The life, the ecosystem, the beings I have created, the life I have given. What is your most controversial pop culture opinion? I am a big fan of the film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, starring Cara Delevingne, Dane DeHaan and Rihanna. It's a Luc Besson movie. It is apparently France's most expensive film and it was not well received. It sort of came and went, but I really liked it. I love the spectacle of it, how big it is, how beautiful it is. What is your most cringeworthy run-in with a celebrity? [This happened] when I worked at Saturday Night Live. No one cringed, no one was harmed – but I did think that Shawn Mendes was an intern. I was like, what is this intern doing just like strolling the halls? I just looked at him and hesitated a little bit. I think I was confused by his very confident presence. And my mind went to, like, God, these NYU kids just think they own the place. But no, he was the star of that week or whatever. [I only realised] when I saw him through the monitors rehearsing his musical performance. What has been your biggest fashion crime to date? The brief period in my life where I wanted to wear what everyone else was wearing. What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten? I'm vegan and I am not adventurous with food so I don't think I've ever eaten anything that exciting in my life. Like even when I was eating meat, I never strayed away from the four main kinds of meat that most people eat. But I have never had eggs. That's the weirdest thing I've never eaten. What is your favourite word? I like S's and I like V's and I like Z's and I like Y's and I like I's. I like Q's. I don't like P's, which it's strange because my first and only movie so far [Problemista] has a title with a P. Like if the letter P were a Pokémon, it'd be a normal type. It's basic and in a way that's not even like comforting. It's not like the letter A – that's also basic, but it's the best-case scenario for basic. A is like leading man vibes. If animals could talk, who would be the nicest? I think raccoons. They seem very happy to be there and apologetic. Your new show is called Colour Theories. If you could remove one colour from the rainbow, what would it be? I wouldn't remove any of them. But if I could add one colour to the rainbow, I would add clear. It's just not there. Julio Torres performs his show Colour Theories at Melbourne international comedy festival 15-20 April

Jesse Eisenberg calls Emma Stone his 'fairy godmother' after Film Independent Spirit Awards 2025 win

Jesse Eisenberg called actress Emma Stone his "fairy godmother" during his acceptance speech for best screenplay at the 2025 Film Independent Spirit Awards, said The Hollywood Reporter. The Social Network actor won the best screenplay award for his film The Real Pain, which starred him and Kieran Kulkin in the lead roles. Emma Stone jointly produced it. At Santa Monica in California on Saturday, the actor said: "I met Emma when we were in Zombieland together in 2009 and since then — I write little magazine articles and little things on McSweeney's, and she's the only person, I'm including my mom here, who would take little screenshots of it over the last 15 years and send me things like, 'This is such a funny line!'" "She was, definitely still [is], the most famous person I know, and yet also the most dedicated to encouraging me as a writer. I think about her not as my producer, but like a fairy godmother, that I am riding the coattails of her goodwill. And I think it's so important that somebody like her, who is so unbelievably successful in all these mainstream movies, people like me and Julio [Torres], and Jane [Schoenbrun], to try to produce art movies with all the goodwill that she's amassed so brightly and observably over the last couple of years. Thanks, Emma." Stone produced the film alongside Eisenberg, Jennifer Semler, Ali Herting, Dave McCary, and Ewa Puszczynska. Eisenberg mentioned Torres and Schoenbrun because Stone produced their projects Fantasma and Problemista, and ' I Saw The TV Glow', respectively, which were also nominated at the Spirit Awards. A Real Pain was also nominated in the best supporting actor category for Kieran Culkin, who plays Eisenberg's cousin in the film. The film was nominated in the best screenplay category alongside Heretic, My Old Ass, A Different Man, and I Saw the TV Glow. Eisenberg is also nominated for best original screenplay at the upcoming 97th Academy Awards.
