Filipino mechanical engineers to unite for 2nd PSIM international conference in Saudi Arabia

Filipino mechanical engineers from around the world are set to gather for the prestigious 2nd Pambansang Samahan ng Inhenyero Mekanikal (PSIM) International Mechanical Engineers Conference (PIMEC), taking place in Saudi Arabia. Scheduled for June 8 to 9, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Riyadh, the two-day conference will carry the theme: 'Leadership with Integrity & Stability Through Motivation and Mentoring for the Progression of Global Mechanical Engineers.' The event promises a robust lineup of keynote addresses, technical sessions, and product exhibits designed to enhance professional development and global industry knowledge. Among the distinguished guests is His Excellency Ambassador Raymond R. Balatbat, who will deliver a keynote speech to formally honor the achievements and contributions of Filipino engineers abroad. Joining him are notable officials, including Hon. Atty. Melisa Jane Comafay Yeachana, Director IV of the Professional Regulation Commission's International Affairs Office, and Labor Attaché II Hon. Dominador A. Salanga of the Migrant Workers Office in Riyadh. Adding further inspiration to the gathering is Dr. Karen Remo, CEO and Founder of New Perspective Media Group and Publisher of The Filipino Times. 2 UP-Manila grads take top spots in June 2025 Occupational Therapists Licensure exam

Two graduates gained the top percentage rating in the June 2025 Occupational Therapists Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced. Kristine Allyza Carisma Esquivel gained a rating of 86.00, the highest among 101 examinees who successfully hurdled the exam. Esquivel's schoolmate, Erika Jane Castro Domingo, made it to second place with a rating of 84.40. Two other UP-Manila grads are in the Top 10 list, namely: Juliana Marie Alcomendras Galbizo (7th place) and Darren Moira Miclat Sta. Ana (10th place). A graduate from the University of the Philippines - Diliman gained the highest rating in the May 2025 Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced. John Elrich Ramirez Gamboa gained a rating of 92.67, the highest among 3,156 accountants who successfully hurdled the exam. Over 55K pass Licensure Exam for Professional Teachers

The Philippines will have 55,029 educators after they passed the Licensure Exam for Professional Teachers (LEPT) given in March, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday. According to the PRC, 16,282 elementary teachers out of 34,810 examinees (46.77%) and 38,747 secondary teachers out of 62,225 examinees (62.27%) successfully hurdled the examinations given last March 23, 2025 in 38 testing centers all over the country. Of the elementary teacher passers, 13,819 are first timers and 2,463 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 32,624 passers are first timers and 6,123 are repeaters.
