Professor Sherley Louis wins ‘Outstanding Education Leader Excellence Award' at UAE's Next MasterMind Awards 2025
The grandeur of the UAE's Next MasterMind Awards 2025 lit up the iconic Al Habtoor Palace, Dubai, as global changemakers and visionary leaders in business and corporate, coaching and authorship. One of the most powerful and emotional highlights of the evening was the recognition of Professor Sherley Louis, who was honoured with the 'Outstanding Education Leader Excellence Award'.
A fierce advocate for inclusive education, equity, and neurodiversity, Professor Sherley received her award from global leaders: Khaled Diab, president of Rotary Dubai Cosmopolitan and two-time Guinness World Record holder; Philippe Gerwill, globally renowned digital health key opinion leader and futurist; and Frank Beckmann, founder and CEO of GVI Investment Advisory.
The room stood in admiration as Professor Sherley delivered a deeply moving acceptance speech, stating: 'Let no lack of English or disability stand in the way of one's destiny. Every learner deserves access, opportunity, and belief. Inclusion is not an option; it's a human right.'
In a heartfelt gesture that touched the audience, she invited her mother, Marie Edith Louis, onto the stage and presented her with the trophy, dedicating the award to the woman who shaped her mission and values.
With over two decades of impact in education, Professor Sherley serves as an inclusion lead and global voice for educational equity. She is the visionary behind Bridge2Power, a language empowerment and digital literacy initiative launched in 2024 to support Arab women and girls including youth from Gaza, in accessing global opportunities. Her commitment to justice in education extends across continents, classrooms, and cultures.
The UAE's Next MasterMind Awards, now in its 13 th year founded by Dr Mansoor Al Obeidli and Dr Navana Kundu, is one of the region's most respected global platforms for honouring excellence across 40+ industries. Professor Sherley's recognition and keynote address exemplified the core values of the event - vision, authenticity, and impact.
Professor Sherley's recognition as Outstanding Education Leader affirms her unwavering belief that education must be accessible, empowering, and inclusive for all regardless of background, ability, or language. Her story continues to ignite hope and transformation in classrooms, communities, and hearts around the world.
