Think eight one-kilometre runs, each followed by a brutal-but-brilliant workout station – from sled pushes to burpee broad jumps – all designed to test your stamina, strength and sheer willpower. As for how you join, you can either go it solo (there are separate male and female divisions), team up with a friend (mixed, male, or female doubles), round up a squad for the relay (teams of four = good times and shared pain), or take it to the next level in the pro division, if you're really feeling your gains. Plus, there's an Adaptive Division for athletes with physical disabilities, making inclusivity part of the game plan.
