Pedro Pascal Champions Trans Rights With Viral ‘Protect the Dolls' T-shirt at Marvel's ‘Thunderbolts' London Premiere

Pedro Pascal is voicing his support for the transgender community once again. The actor attended the London premiere of Marvel's 'Thunderbolts' on Tuesday, wearing the viral 'Protect the Dolls' T-shirt, which he had previously worn on his 50th birthday celebration on April 6. The T-shirt was created by Conner Ives, who debuted the design while closing out his fall 2025 runway show during London Fashion Week in February. The message written in it, 'Protect the Dolls,' shows support to trans women, who are affectionately referred to as 'dolls' in the LGBTQIA+ community. According to The New York Times, Ives has sold about $252,600 of the T-shirt since its release. He also invested in infrastructure to meet the online demand. The style is out of stock, but shoppers can preorder it at 75 euros (about $99). Other celebrities, including singer Troye Sivan and fashion designer Haider Ackermann, have also worn the 'Protect the Dolls' T-shirt recently. Pascal has long been a supporter of the trans community. His sister, actress Lux Pascal, came out as a transgender woman in 2021. The actor's appearance at the 'Thunderbolts' premiere comes a week after Britain's Supreme Court ruled that the legal definition of a woman is someone born biologically female. The decision is being highly criticized by trans groups and supporters who believe the ruling would undermine trans rights. Pedro Pascal's Dior Moment Meets Sister Lux Pascal's Golden Goddess Georges Chakra Dress for ‘Eddington' Premiere on Cannes Film Festival 2025 Red Carpet

Pedro Pascal and his sister Lux Pascal were at the premiere of 'Eddington' on Friday in Cannes, France. The actors arrived to attend the Cannes Film Festival. Lux wore a gold silk Georges Chakra dress featuring a sweetheart neckline and pleats. The dress also included a thigh-high front slit. Stylist Freddy Alonso paired it with Jimmy Choo heeled sandals. Styled by Julie Ragolia, the suit is from Kim Jones' final collection for the fall 2025 season. It included a silk laser-cut bar jacket and wide wool pants. It was paired with a classic cotton shirt and silk tie. 'Couture is not about screaming at people. Sometimes it's about just the make and the fabrication, especially in menswear,' Jones said in a preview of the collection. 'It's very Dior, looking at all the codes in a very graphic, pure way.' Last month, Pedro made headlines for wearing a 'Protect the Dolls' T-shirt to the London premiere of his film 'Thunderbolts.' The statement shirt hailed from Conner Ives, who debuted the design while closing out his own fall 2025 show during London Fashion Week. The slogan refers to trans women who are affectionately called 'dolls' by some. Proceeds from the sales of the shirt are donated to Trans Lifeline, which provides services to the trans community. Pedro has shown himself to be an ally of the trans community, speaking out on various issues. Pedro's sister, Lux, came out as trans publicly in 2021. The 2025 Cannes Film Festival concludes on May 24. Films premiering at this year's festival include Wes Anderson's 'The Phoenician Scheme,' Julia Ducournau's 'Alpha' and Lynne Ramsay's 'Die, My Love.' Spike Lee's 'Highest 2 Lowest' starring Denzel Washington and A$AP Rocky will also premiere at the event. Catherine, Princess of Wales, steps back into the fashion spotlight

The fashion crowd in London is generally known for keeping cool. But Tuesday, the editors and designers at a ceremony for one of the industry's most prestigious local awards became palpably excited when Catherine, Princess of Wales, emerged to present this year's Queen Elizabeth II Award for Design to Patrick McDowell, 29, a Liverpool-born designer. Dressed in an olive Victoria Beckham suit and a white silk pussy-bow blouse, Catherine walked with McDowell among mannequins and models wearing the designer's looks inside 180 the Strand, the central London building where the event took place. It was the second time the princess had presented the award, which was created by the British Fashion Council and the British royal family in 2018 to recognize the role London's fashion industry 'plays in society and diplomacy.' The princess did not give public comments at the ceremony, but McDowell said that their private conversation touched on topics including a shared appreciation for craftsmanship and the designer's efforts to make collections in Britain and offer customers the option to repair or rework old garments. McDowell added that, as Catherine toured the clothes on display, she took interest in a tailored sleeveless jacket called 'the Wales jacket.' 'She said, 'Why would you call it that?' with a big smile,' McDowell said. 'What a moment, to be sharing jokes with our future queen.' Catherine's appearance at the event came as she has been stepping up the pace and profile of her public engagements after her cancer diagnosis and treatment last year. In January, she said her cancer was in remission; about a month later, the Sunday Times of London published an article that suggested that Kensington Palace would no longer be disclosing any details of her outfits to the news media. During the awards ceremony, the princess also met with other young designers who were on hand to showcase their wares, including Conner Ives, an American working in London whose 'Protect the Dolls' T-shirt have spread widely on social media in recent weeks. On Tuesday, Ives was announced as the 2025 winner of the British Fashion Council/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund award, which came with a grant and an industry mentorship. In past years, the Queen Elizabeth II Award for Design went to designers including Richard Quinn, S.S. Daley and Priya Ahluwalia. It has been presented in the past by other senior royals, including Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles III and Princess Anne. McDowell, whose namesake brand was introduced in 2018, is known for offering made-to-order evening and occasion wear designed in London using recycled textiles and new sustainable materials like sequins made of cellulose. Lady Gaga, Sarah Jessica Parker and Keira Knightley are among the label's notable fans. Winning the Queen Elizabeth II Award was 'a wonderful pat on the back that provides a game-changing stamp of approval,' McDowell said, as well as an 'acknowledgment that working in a circular way is a way forward.' 'I'd love to make a piece for her,' McDowell added, referring to Catherine. 'It would be a dream come true.'

Florence Pugh Pops in Springtime Green McQueen Dress With Layered Ruffles for ‘Thunderbolts' Los Angeles Premiere

Florence Pugh forewent her Gothic romance styling streak in favor of springtime hues for the 'Thunderbolts*' premiere on Monday in Los Angeles. The actress joined costars Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell and more for the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Pugh opted for a strapless design courtesy of McQueen's fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The actress' dress featured a mint green tone with a bevy of ruffles layered throughout the dress. Pugh's look also featured a fitted bodice with ruching at the sweetheart neckline. The bodice transitioned to a structured waistline, featuring more ruffled effects. The skirt featured tiered layering and cascading ruffles. The Oscar-nominated actress wore delicate earrings in silver tones and a bracelet to boot, though the centerpiece of Pugh's look remained her dress. The actress' blond hair was coiffed courtesy of stylist Hyungsun Ju, with makeup provided by artist Alex Babsky. Pugh's look was curated by stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray, who's also collaborated with Simone Ashley and Gemma Chan, among others. Pugh's McQueen dress made its runway debut during Paris Fashion Week last March. The collection was curated by designer Seán McGirr, who took over the role as creative director from Sarah Burton following her departure in September 2023. 'The show started with a run of terrific sharp, black tailoring. Jackets drew on a Victorian silhouette with pleated collars, peaked shoulders and shaped waists, and were worn with archival kickback trousers and wicked-looking, extra-elongated pointy shoes. (McGirr said he meets with the brand archivist every other week.) Other looks had ivory ruffles spilling out, Marianne Faithfull style, or were accessorized with a dandy's cocked hat,' Booth Moore wrote in WWD's review of the collection. 'Fluid silk gowns in fuchsia, inky blue, pale green and lavender had drama without sacrificing wearability, which was clearly a priority for McGirr, who also brought in more casual and contemporary pieces, like a glossy shrunken leather bomber with punk buckle details, and a tailcoat parka with dense crystal shard embroidery at the neck.' Marvel's 'Thunderbolts*' follows a group of antiheroes who team up to defeat a new evil on Earth while confronting their respective pasts. The film hits theaters Friday. The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal tears into JK Rowling for anti-trans stance after viral cigar photo

Pedro Pascal is calling out JK Rowling for her anti-trans stance. The Last of Us star labelled the Harry Potter author a 'heinous loser' for celebrating the UK Supreme Court's ruling that trans women are not legally women. Last week, Rowling went viral for hailing the landmark ruling, claiming that it 'protected' women's rights. She left netizens enraged with her celebratory post on X, in which she was seen smoking a cigar while holding what appeared to be a cocktail in her other hand. While it was not the first time Rowling faced backlash for her anti-trans stance, activist Tariq Ra'ouf urged people to boycott every 'single Harry Potter thing' on Instagram. 'It has become our mission as the general public to make sure that every single thing that's Harry Potter related that awful disgusting shit, that has consequences,' Ra'ouf said. Agreeing with the activist's boycott calls against Rowling, Pascal commented, 'Awful disgusting S**T is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.' The Fantastic Four: First Steps star has long advocated for LGBTQ+ rights. He is frequently accompanied by his sister, Lux Pascal, who came out as a trans woman in 2021, to red carpet appearances.
