600 kilos of processed meat seized in Ilocos Sur
Authorities and Ilocos Sur Animal Quarantine personnel intercepted a refrigerated van transporting 600 kilos of assorted processed meat with a fake shipping permit in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur.
According to police, the meat products, worth an estimated P200,000, were being transported without valid documents.
The truck driver and two helpers now face charges for violating Provincial Ordinance No. 15-06, also known as the Animal Quarantine Ordinance of 2015.
The suspects have yet to issue a statement.
