Jaguars will participate in NFL's 'Rivalries' jerseys rollout in 2026

Jaguars will participate in NFL's 'Rivalries' jerseys rollout in 2026 The NFL is unveiling its 'Rivalries' jerseys in 2025, and the Jacksonville Jaguars will take part in the league-wide rollout during the 2026 season. The NFL is unveiling its 'Rivalries' jerseys in 2025, and the Jacksonville Jaguars will take part in the league-wide rollout during the 2026 season. According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, the "Rivalries" program, as the NFL is calling it, will be similar to what we've seen in the NBA and MLB in recent seasons with the city connect jerseys. During each of the next four seasons, two divisions each year will unveil their respective uniforms. For the 2025 season, there will be eight teams in the AFC East and the NFC West divisions. In 2026, it will be the AFC South, with the Jaguars, and the NFC North as well. The remaining divisions will follow in 2027 and 2028. Within this program, teams will have to wear their 'Rivalries' jerseys for one home game each season against a division rival. Each team can choose which game they want it to be. The program will last for three seasons, presumably so the uniforms can be worn against each divisional opponent. Alternate uniforms and throwbacks can still be worn during those seasons as well. Speaking of which, the NFL also announced earlier this offseason that they will be expanding this season the number of times that a team can wear alternate or throwback uniforms, which means we could be seeing more of the Jaguars' "Prowler Throwbacks."

NFL expands Jaguars' ability to wear throwbacks or alternate uniforms in 2025

NFL expands Jaguars' ability to wear throwbacks or alternate uniforms in 2025 Will we see more of the Jacksonville Jaguars' throwback or alternate uniforms during the 2025 season? Will we see more of the Jacksonville Jaguars' throwback uniforms during the 2025 season? It was announced on Monday that the NFL expanded the number of times that teams can wear throwbacks or alternate uniforms from three to four times in a single season. During the 2024 season, in celebration of their 30th NFL season, the Jaguars wore their "Prowler Throwbacks" from the team's first NFL season back in 1995. The Jaguars would wear the throwbacks in their Week 5 matchup with Indianapolis and then did so again in Week 15 against the New York Jets. The throwback combo features a black helmet with the Jaguars' original logo, teal jerseys with a running Jaguar, and white pants. "Everywhere I go and from every comment I read, it's apparent our fans are longing to see Jaguars' players in throwback uniforms," Jaguars President Mark Lamping said in a statement last summer. "That persistence paid off and our uniforms reminiscent of the team's early years are back by popular demand – just in time for the 30th season." In addition to wearing the throwbacks, the Jaguars also unveiled an alternate "shell white" helmet that they paired with black jerseys. Now with teams able to wear throwback or alternate uniforms up to four times, the Jaguars could roll out one of these uniforms an additional time in 2025 if they choose.
