LAHORE: The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as the Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), is all set to hold the auction of premium residential plots in NSIT Residencia this June. Building on the momentum of four previously successful auctions, this latest venture marks another bold step forward in the authority's mission to redefine urban living and development in Punjab. NSIT City is envisioned as a dynamic urban center comprising three districts IT, Education and Film districts, Located adjacent to DHA Phase 6 and 7, said a spokesperson of the Authority here on Friday. NSIT Residencia sits at the heart of this transformative zone, making it a strategic and future-ready investment opportunity offering unmatched accessibility to key locations within Lahore. Positioned as the next sought-after address in the provincial capital, NSIT Residencia combines luxury living with smart city infrastructure, providing investors with an exceptional opportunity. CBD Punjab is offering four premium plots of up to four kanals each in this prime location. The reserve price has been set at PKR 95 million per kanal, with earnest money fixed at PKR 20 million. To ensure greater ease and accessibility for potential buyers, a flexible three-year payment plan has been introduced, making this an attractive prospect for both local and overseas investors. Applications for the auction must be submitted by June 16, 2025. The cooperation has been made on the directives of the Punjab Government, said Chief Operating Officer of CBD Punjab, Brigadier Mansoor Janjua (R). By partnering with the Local Government and PMU, we are working to identify and develop strategic locations that will act as catalysts for regional economic growth. CBD opens Rs12b tenders for IT City

The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), commonly known as CBD Punjab, has opened tenders worth Rs12 billion for the development of the Nawaz Sharif IT City (NSITC) - a landmark infrastructure initiative aimed at accelerating Punjab's digital economy. To fast-track the construction process, the project has been divided into three packages. Following the earlier evaluation of technical bids, the PCBDDA on Monday opened the financial proposals for all segments. Maaksons Construction Company submitted the lowest bid of Rs4 billion for Package One. Habib Construction Services offered the lowest bid of Rs3.6 billion for Package II, while Package Three saw a joint lowest bid of Rs3.9 billion from Habib Construction Services and IKAN Engineering Services. The authority has now started the financial evaluation process, after which contracts will be formally awarded to the successful bidders. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has described the NSITC as Pakistan's first project of its kind. She stated that the twin towers planned within the IT City, along with a "plug and play" call centre hub, are expected to be completed within the year. The hub is designed to offer IT education and employment opportunities to young people across the province.

LAHORE: In a groundbreaking development, the city of Lahore has become home to the country's first energy-generating smart road. The innovative project, dubbed Route 47, is a 4.5-kilometer stretch that connects several major thoroughfares, including Ferozepur Road, Gulberg Main Boulevard, Walton Road, and Lahore Ring Road. The road boasts cutting-edge features, including separate lanes for pedestrians and cyclists, and a one-kilometre-long flyover. Solar panels installed on the footpaths along Route 47 will generate up to 1 megawatt of electricity while providing shade. The road's design ensures that it remains flood-free during rainfall, minimizing disruptions to traffic. According to details, the project cost approximately PKR 9 billion (USD 32 million).
