Purple Aces miss on late opportunities in loss to Drake
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Drake Bulldogs are now MVC regular season champions following a 65-61 win over Evansville on Wednesday night. The Purple Aces had multiple opportunities to tie or win it with under a minute left, but couldn't cash in. UE's head coach, David Ragland, said despite the loss, there's some positives of playing a game like this just a week before Arch Madness tips off. 'It was an opportunity to know that we can beat anybody. We do believe that,' said Ragland. Up next, the Purple Aces will close out the regular season at Illinois State on Sunday.
