The delegation was welcomed by the centre's representative cum secretary, Mustarin Abdul Muhim. Ahsmon said the visit was part of their 218th Police Day welfare initiative series. 'Beyond our duty to serve the community, this is our small way of supporting children in need,' he said. 'These children are society's future assets and our shared hope.' During the visit, the police team distributed school supplies and other essential items. 'We hope these contributions would help ease their burden and motivate them to study hard, so they may one day give back to society,' he said. He said they have plans for subsequent welfare visits to retired and ailing police personnel, as well as collaborations with other agencies for similar charitable programmes. Mustarin expressed gratitude for the visit by Ahsmon and Sandakan District Police Headquarters personnel. * Follow us on Instagram and join our Telegram and/or WhatsApp channel(s) for the latest news you don't want to miss. * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
