Bella Thorne claims Charlie Puth vilified her after she refused to sleep with him
In a recent Instagram post, American actor and singer Bella Thorne accused singer Charlie Puth of spreading falsehoods about their brief romantic involvement. The accusation surfaced on Friday, July 11, when Thorne commented on an Instagram post mentioning Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall, who had expressed reluctance to collaborate with Puth aged 27, stated, "Yeah I mean, he lied to the entire world about me and started a hate train. All because I wouldn't . Do the deed with him (sic)," as per Thorne and Charlie Puth were briefly linked in December 2016, making headlines when they were seen together at the Jingle Ball in Miami. During the event, Puth serenaded Thorne on stage, fuelling rumours of a budding romance. The relationship, however, was short-lived. The fallout between the two escalated when Puth accused Thorne of infidelity on social media platform X. Puth, then 33, claimed that Thorne had not ended her relationship with Tyler Posey, known for his role in "Teen Wolf," before becoming involved with him. He expressed his disbelief saying, "I can't believe what I'm reading,' Puth wrote at the time. "No one should have their heart messed with like this, and I'm not going to be in the middle of it."In response to Puth's accusations, Thorne clarified her position on X. She stated that she was not dating either Puth or Posey and explained their casual connection. She wrote, "Ty and I have been broken up for like over two weeks and charlie and I ARENT DATING we are friends. That article was written forever ago." Thorne continued, "Charlie and I were hanging out.. he saw an old interview and got butthurt but instead of texting me and asking about it he put it on Twitter."Puth later apologised to Posey in a follow-up post, admitting he did not know Posey personally but felt he should not be treated poorly. He added that Thorne had assured him she was no longer with Posey, expressing, "I don't know Tyler personally, but I know he shouldn't be treated this way," he wrote, adding, "She told me she was not with him anymore. This is all news to me."Both Thorne and Puth have since moved on with their lives. "I had practiced it so many times, and I was reading it with such confidence. I thought I sounded like reading a speech," Puth joked. However, the reality of the moment hit him hard.
