Annie Yi annoyed over misconstrued statement about husband Qin Hao
4 Aug - Annie Yi recently expressed ire over netizens and the media misinterpreting her statement about husband Qin Hao.
On 2 August, the singer reposted a statement from Qin Hao's studio warning fans to not disseminate false rumours about him, after the topic of "Annie Yi says Qin Hao rarely comes home" became trending on Weibo.
"Please stop taking things out of context, okay? It's clear that Mr. Qin has stayed at home for nine months since after the New Year this year and hasn't taken on any acting roles. Not because of anything else, but because he was too busy in previous years. This year, he wants to be more selective with scripts and spend more time with his daughter. So, I also want to stay home and enjoy life as a family of three," she expressed.
Annie added, "What era are we living in that people are still distorting facts like this? And there's no legal accountability?"
The singer said that there were always provocation and drama in her previous relationship and now all kinds of rumours are being made up about her second marriage.
"Can we all just live a little happier and bring some positivity to the world? A bit more blessing, and the world can become brighter. If we raise our energy, we'll live better, more abundantly. As for the rumours, we'll definitely use legal means to defend the truth," she added.
The whole issue sparked after Annie revealed in a livestream that her husband had been so busy with filming commitments in recent years that he rarely came home, and her phone is mostly filled with photos of her daughter and herself. At 57, she said that she still feels romantically attached, admitting that she becomes restless if Qin Hao returns to their home in Shanghai.
She later explained that she wasn't criticising her husband but expressing how much she cherished her family.
