Kevin Quiambao becomes first Filipino to have player-edition footwear with adidas
Kevin Quiambao became the first Filipino basketball player to have a player-edition footwear for lifestyle brand adidas as it recently launched the Adizero Select 3.0 'KQ63."
Filipino toy designer and streetwear artist Quiccs designed the shoe which includes personal touches of Quiambao and Quiccs himself in the design.
'It's been a privilege to have played a part in this player edition footwear, and it has served as one of the biggest inspirations for me to keep working and playing hard on the court," Quiambao said.
The said shoe made its debut on the hardcourt last April when Fil-Am player Jalen Green wore the said footwear during the Houston Rockets' heritage night.
A member of the Gilas Pilipinas national team, De La Salle University product Quiambao is the reigning back-to-back Most Valuable Player of the UAAP and has been playing with the Goyang Sono Skygunners in the Korean Basketball League since January.
