Here's how much it costs to charge your phone every MONTH
If you're wondering whether your teenager's habit of constantly charging their phone is hiking up your electricity bill – here's some reassuring news.
While many people charge their phones once a day, others admit to plugging in multiple times due to heavy use or only charging partially.
This might lead to the assumption that phone charging is a significant electricity expense.
But according to renewable energy specialist Wes Reddy, that's far from the truth.
Reddy recently revealed that charging a smartphone once daily for about an hour costs only around R3.60 per month – hardly enough to dent the average household budget.
So, while half-charging habits may not be great for your phone's battery health, they're certainly not breaking the bank. @djwesreddy Cost per month to charge your phone #PhoneChargingCost #ElectricitySavings #EnergyTips #SouthAfricaPower #SaveElectricity #TechTips #HomeEnergy #EnergyAwareness #SmartLiving #TikTokEducation #SAcontent #MoneySavingTips #energysaving ♬ original sound – Wes Reddy
