‘Pawsome' way to spend Mandela Day
RICHARDS Bay SPCA is calling on animal lovers to 'pawse' their day and spend 67 minutes with the animals in their care this Mandela Day on Friday, 18 July.
'67 minutes may not seem like much, but for an animal, it could be the most love and attention they've ever received in their life,' said SPCA chairperson Engela Hamman.

The 67 minutes on Mandela Day represent the 67 years Nelson Mandela spent fighting for justice, equality and freedom.
Why not unleash some 'ulti-mutt' kindness on the voiceless animals who wait patiently for their 'furever' homes?
'Bring a chair, blanket or cushion and spend your 67 minutes with the animals in our kennels. Bring a toy, a treat, or just your time and love – spoil them with cuddles, care, and kindness.
'Let's fill every kennel with a human heart this Mandela Day and give hope to those still waiting for their forever homes,' said Hamman.
Whether it's belly rubs, gentle words or tasty treats, your time can bring 'pawsitivity' to an animal waiting to be loved.
