2025 RI International Film Festival offers a deep dive into what's new in cinema
PROVIDENCE – From short subjects to avant-garde theater to documentaries and feature-length films, the Rhode Island International Film Festival has it all, with the opportunity to hang out with the people behind the motion pictures and learn about their craft.
The festival opened Aug. 5 and runs through Aug. 10, though it offers a bonus day on Aug.12, too. Venues are mostly in Providence but also include the Misquamicut Drive-In in Westerly and an online-only virtual theater.
Shows include the premiere of the feature film "The Roaring Game," from East Greenwich's Verdi Productions.
