RNLI Fishguard help struggling kayaker to get to shore
A kayaker struggling to make way back to shore was looked after by the RNLI last Saturday (July 19).
'Struggling kayaker' rescued by RNLI Fishgaurd (Image: RNLI Fishgaurd) A RNLI spokesperson said: 'Our volunteer crew were paged last night at 7.26pm with a request to launch the charity's D-class inshore lifeboat (ILB) 'Edward Arthur Richardson' to assist a kayaker struggling to make way back to shore.
'As crew were arriving at the station they were met by the kayaker who had managed to get ashore at the ILB slip.
'Crew checked on the casualty's welfare and provided refreshment whilst awaiting the arrival of their kayaking partner who was making their way by road.'
No serious injuries were reported.
