Big worry for China, Pakistan... Russian Container-S OTH radar with 3000-km range is the end of J-20 and J-35A fighter jets... India planning to...
In an attempt to thwart stealth fighter jets of China and Pakistan, India may buy the Container-S OTH radar system from Russia. According to reports, it has been claimed that India is in talks with the Russian government to buy the world's longest-range surveillance radar system.
Container-S OTH is an over-the-horizon (OTH) radar, named 29B6 in the Russian defense industry, which has a range of 3000 kilometers. This radar also has the ability to track hypersonic missiles.
With the help of this radar system, India will be able to detect the deployment of China's stealth fighter jets like J-20 and J-35A on the Himalayan border in advance and will be able to prepare a strategy in time to counter them. Let us tell you that China is already deploying J-20 stealth fighters near the Indian border and many reports have claimed that Pakistan is going to buy J-35A stealth fighter jets from China. It is claimed that China can hand over J-35A fighter aircraft to Pakistan in the next few months, which can become a significant threat to India.
What is the Container-S OTH radar system?
The Container-S radar has been developed by Russia's RTI Systems and is an Over-the-Horizon (OTH) radar, meaning it can track targets even beyond the curvature of the Earth. It is used through the reflection of radio waves in the ionosphere, which allows this radar to monitor aerial threats at a much greater distance than a normal radar and at a distance of Beyond Visual Range (BVR). It has been specially designed to track the American stealth fighter jet F-35 and hypersonic missiles. That is, when it can track the F-35, then what is the status of J-20 and J-35A.
Apart from this, it can also track 5000 targets simultaneously. Due to its 3000 km range, India can deploy this radar at any place in the country where China and Pakistan do not have the capability to strike. Or even if they try to target this radar, India will have enough time to thwart the attack.
