Japan's Sakana inks AI agent deal with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial

RYOHTAROH SATOH TOKYO -- A Japanese artificial intelligence startup backed by Nvidia has secured a rare high-profile deal for its AI agents, in a win for an industry struggling to use them to streamline company operations in a cost-effective way. Sakana AI announced a partnership of more than three years with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group to provide AI solutions for up to around 5 billion yen ($34 million). This includes Sakana developing and tuning AI agent models based on MUFG's data and customizing them to meet its needs.
