Report: New York Giants' Malik Nabers dealing with back issue

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers has been sidelined since August 6 with an injury that was only recently revealed to be unrelated to his toe or shoulder. During the latest Breaking Big Blue podcast, ESPN's Jordan Raanan reported that Nabers' injury was minor, but there is a concern with the number of issues piling up. "I heard from a source that it's not a toe injury. It's a different injury than the toe and the shoulder," Raanan said. "It's a very minor thing, and he'll be good. "It definitely doesn't seem like it's bad, but it's another minor injury for Malik Nabers. Maybe it's not serious now, but it's certainly something when all these little knocks keep piling up -- it does seem to be something we have to keep an eye on moving forward." Raanan now reports that Nabers is dealing with a minor back issue and should be good to go come Week 1 against the Washington Commanders. New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers hasn't practiced in 11 days while dealing with what multiple sources told ESPN was a minor back problem. One source characterized it as "normal camp tightness." Nabers suited up for the team's final practice last week but did not participate. It's unlikely he will play on Thursday night in the preseason finale against the New England Patriots and will then have just over two weeks to prepare for Week 1. The Giants are simply being overly cautious with their top talent, ensuring that he will be able to play without restriction when the regular season starts.

Wiz Backer Raises $300 Million to Help Startup Employees Cash Out

Cyberstarts, the Israeli venture capital firm best known for its early investment in the cybersecurity company Wiz, has raised $300 million to buy shares from employees of the firm's portfolio companies, co-founder Gili Raanan said. Raanan, a former partner at Sequoia Capital, said the goal is to reward long-tenured employees with reliable and recurring opportunities to cash out vested shares. It's part of a broader effort by Raanan to rethink the venture capital model as startups stay private longer and face new challenges.

Report: New York Giants 'looked into' Eagles TE Dallas Goedert

Report: New York Giants 'looked into' Eagles TE Dallas Goedert Could the New York Giants look to swing a trade for Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert? However preposterous that may sound, ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports that it's something Giants general manager Joe Schoen has "looked into." "I heard at one point they looked into Dallas Goedert," Raanan said on Giants After Dark. "He sounds like a guy who is going to get traded at some point in this draft. "Now, I am not expecting Dallas Goedert to get traded to the Giants, but the fact that they checked in on it definitely made me scratch my head a little bit. . . It's something they are at least monitoring." Raanan also noted that inquiring about Goedert isn't a reflection on what the Giants think of Theo Johnson. "They do think highly of Theo Johnson. They think he can be a significant player," Raanan said. "Russell Wilson said he could be a star." The Giants have poked around several tight ends during the pre-draft process and seem likely to add one at some point before minicamps gets underway. Currently, their room consists of Johnson, Daniel Bellinger, Chris Manhertz, who was re-signed this offseason, and Greg Dulcich.
