4 attempts made to kill my son Tejashwi: Rabri

1 2 Patna: Former Bihar CM Rabri Devi made a sensational revelation on Friday, alleging that there were four attempts made in the past to "assassinate" her son, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav , and blamed these attempts on the "BJP-JD(U) people". Tejashwi, leader of the opposition in the state assembly, is considered the opposition INDIA bloc's CM face, although a formal announcement has not been made so far. "Tejashwi Yadav ko toh char baar marne ke koshish hua tha rasta mein…Yahan bhi marne ke koshis ho raha hai (There have been four attempts in the past to kill him on the way. Conspiracies are still being hatched to eliminate him in Patna)," Rabri told reporters in the portico of the Bihar legislative council. She added that Tejashwi faces serious threats to his life and they are very much aware of who is behind the conspiracies. "But none can silence the voice of the people," she said. Rabri levelled these allegations against her political rivals a day after the Bihar legislative assembly plunged into pandemonium during which opposition and ruling party members ran menacingly towards each other and almost came to blows, but this was averted due to timely intervention by the security forces. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like We Have No Words For Dog The Bounty Hunter's Transformation Cash Roadster Some RJD members alleged that during this scuffle-like situation, a BJP member uprooted the microphone from the table and ran menacingly towards Tejashwi with the intention to assault him, a charge denied by the NDA leaders. RJD sources said Rabri was compelled to raise the security issue of her son in light of some recent incidents where Tejashwi's life appeared to be "in danger". On July 10, a speeding car allegedly tried to enter his cavalcade on J P Ganga Path in Patna, prompting the police to arrest the driver. On June 29, Tejashwi narrowly escaped injury as a drone crashed into the podium while he was addressing the "Waqf Bachao, Samvidhan Bachao Sammelan" at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. He narrowly escaped again on June 7, when a speeding truck hit two vehicles of his convoy, injuring three security personnel in Vaishali district. Tejashwi himself said a firing incident took place outside his official residence at 1, Polo Road, which is considered a VIP area, last month.

Nitish should hand over CM's post to son: Rabri

Patna: Former Bihar CM and leader of opposition in the state legislative council, Rabri Devi, on the opening day of the monsoon session on Monday, said that CM Nitish Kumar should now pass on the baton to his son for the post of state's CM, as he was young. Talking to reporters on the legislative council campus, she said the law and order related problems are everywhere in the country, but Bihar's situation is particularly grim. "Nitish is the state's CM and he also has the home department under him. It is clear that he is unable to control the situation. He should pass on the mantle of the post of CM to his son," she said. When asked by reporters whether she demanded resignation of the CM over law and order issue, she said, "No, I am not seeking his resignation. Instead, he should make his son the state's CM, since he is young." Reacting to Rabri's remark, JD(U) chief spokesman and MLC Neeraj Kumar advised her to worry more about her elder son and MLA Tej Pratap Yadav , who has been expelled from the family and the party by its national chief Lalu Prasad for transgressing the family morality by being in relationship with a woman even when the divorce between him and his wife was pending in the court. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Indian Investors Are Buying These Dubai Apartments—Here's Why Binghatti Developers FZE Explore Undo Senior BJP functionary and deputy CM Vijay Kumar Siha said: "Her (Rabri's) party (RJD) would go high in public esteem, if she considered removing her husband (Lalu) from the post of the party's president, as he had been convicted by a court."
