Lesedi Community Centre (LCC) will be hosting their annual Western Race 4 Hope on May 31.
This annual event is a fundraiser in aid of the LCC's mission in supporting vulnerable communities.
The event is a highlight for runners and cyclers and features a variety of cycling and running challenges, drawing participants of all ages and fitness levels.
Participants will meet at the Poortjie Venue just outside Heidelberg and have the option to compete in mountain biking and cross-country running, with distances ranging from 5km to 60km.
The day is an outing for families with a kids playing area, lucky draws, prizes and live entertainment.
The Western Race 4 Hope is not just about making a difference in the lives of people but also about having a great time with family and friends, surrounded by nature's beauty.
Some stages of the running and cycling trail will be through game camps with spectacular scenery of the Johannesburg skyline in the distance.
As the event grows each year, the Lesedi Community Centre remains committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
