20 children die from malnutrition in Gaza over the last few days
More than 90-truck loads of humanitarian aid have made it into Gaza, after an almost three month blockade by Israel. The aid, including flour, baby food and medical equipment, has been taken to warehouses for distribution. The BBC reports some bakeries been able to make bread again. But aid agencies say it's nowhere near enough. On average 500 supply trucks a day entered Gaza before the war. Rachael Cummings, the Humanitarian Director for Save the Children spoke to Lisa Owen. Israeli 'Madness' Continues in Gaza: Evacuation Orders and More Massacres
The Israeli madness continues in Gaza for the eighth day, with the occupation army committing new massacres across the besieged strip and issues evacuation orders in a bid to displace residents of north Gaza anew. Palestinian media reported attacks targeted Gaza City's Shujayea and Zeitoun neighborhoods, as well as Deir Al-Balah, Nuseirat refugee camp, Bureij refugee camp and Rafah. Gaza's Health Ministry said 792 people have been martyred and 1,663 injured in the week since the Israeli enemy resumed its war on the Strip. The total death toll since the war started on October 7, 2023, has risen to 50,144, while 113,704 people have been injured, it said. Forcible Displacements Meanwhile on Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army told Palestinians in all northern border towns to evacuate, saying Palestinian rockets were fired at 'Israel' from the area. The Israeli military has now expanded evacuation orders to tens of thousands of residents across the war-battered enclave. 'Evacuation orders' issued in the middle of the night. The also face worsening shortages of food, drinking water and medicine after the Israeli occupation blocked aid deliveries on March 2. On the other hand, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said nine of its staff are still missing for a third consecutive day after they failed to return from a rescue mission in southern Gaza's Rafah city. At least 270 children killed in a week of Israeli attacks on Gaza
Save the Children says over 270 children have been killed in a week since Israel resumed its war on Gaza, marking some of 'the deadliest days for children since the war began'. 'Bombs falling, hospitals destroyed, children killed [and] the world is silent,' Rachael Cummings, Save the Children's humanitarian director in Gaza, said. 'No aid, no safety, no future.' The organisation said in a statement the war's resumption is 'a death sentence for Gaza's children'. Over 50,000 people, including more than 17,900 children, have now been killed in Gaza since the war began in October 2023, according to Gaza's Government Media Office.
