At least 270 children killed in a week of Israeli attacks on Gaza
Save the Children says over 270 children have been killed in a week since Israel resumed its war on Gaza, marking some of 'the deadliest days for children since the war began'.
'Bombs falling, hospitals destroyed, children killed [and] the world is silent,' Rachael Cummings, Save the Children's humanitarian director in Gaza, said. 'No aid, no safety, no future.'
The organisation said in a statement the war's resumption is 'a death sentence for Gaza's children'. Over 50,000 people, including more than 17,900 children, have now been killed in Gaza since the war began in October 2023, according to Gaza's Government Media Office.

The Israeli military said on Sunday and Monday that its soldiers had fired warning shots. On Tuesday, it said, forces also fired warning shots before firing towards Palestinians that it said were advancing towards troops. GHF has said that aid was safely handed out from its sites without any incident. Israel has re-intensified an offensive against Gaza's dominant Hamas group since breaking a two-month-old ceasefire in March in a war triggered by Hamas' cross-border attack on October 7, 2023.

10 more Palestinians killed in Israel strikes
Gaza's civil defence agency said Israeli strikes killed at least 10 people in the battered Palestinian territory on Thursday as the military keeps up an intensified offensive. According to the health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza, at least 4,335 people have been killed since Israel resumed its offensive on March 18, taking the war's overall toll to 54,607, mostly civilians. "Ten martyrs so far resulting from Israeli strikes since dawn," agency spokesman Mahmud Bassal told the media, adding that they had targeted an area where displaced civilians were sheltering in the southern city of Khan Yunis and houses in Gaza City and the central town of Deir Al Balah.
