Morocco, Ghana Promote Parliamentary Collaboration
Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami received, on Monday at the House's headquarters in Rabat, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Committee of the Parliament of Ghana, Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, currently on a working visit to the Kingdom at the head of a high-level parliamentary delegation. During the meeting, also attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Morocco Charity Gbedawo, Talbi El Alami praised Ghana's decision and position in favor of Morocco's territorial integrity, while welcoming the renewed momentum in relations between the two countries at several levels, particularly at the parliamentary level, according to a press release from the House of Representatives. In this sense, he reviewed the Strategic Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI aimed at strengthening South-South cooperation with African countries, highlighting several pioneering Royal Initiatives, notably the Morocco-Nigeria gas pipeline project, the Atlantic African States initiative, and the initiative to grant landlocked Sahel countries access to the Atlantic Ocean. For his part, Okoe Vanderpuije spoke of his pride at visiting Morocco, saying that the trip reflected the depth of the historic ties of friendship uniting the two brotherly peoples. He also expressed his country's keenness to strengthen cooperation with the Kingdom in various fields, including agriculture, trade, investment, air transport, education, employment and sustainable development. Lower House Speaker Meets with Head of Islamic Organization for Food Security
Lower House Speaker Rachid Talbi El Alami held talks on Thursday in Rabat with the Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), Berik Aryn, who is on a working visit to the Kingdom. The discussions focused on the major development projects launched under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aimed at promoting the agricultural sector, ensuring food and water security, and strengthening the foundations of the social state, according to a press release from the House. This meeting was also an opportunity to highlight the role of the Lower House in areas related to agricultural development and food security, in accordance with the powers granted to it by the Constitution in terms of legislation, oversight, and evaluation of public policies. Moroccan and Zambian parliamentary leaders discuss reforms and collaboration in Rabat
The President of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, held talks on Tuesday in Rabat with Frank Moyo, President of the Reform and Modernization Commission and Vice-President of Zambia's National Assembly. Moyo was accompanied by a parliamentary delegation on a working visit to Morocco. According to a statement from the House of Representatives, the visit aims to explore Morocco's parliamentary experience and includes field visits to major development projects across the country. The discussions centered on the respective parliamentary systems of both nations, including the composition and structure of their institutions, the organization of parliamentary work, their missions and responsibilities, and relations with other branches of power and institutions. On this occasion, Rachid Talbi El Alami outlined Morocco's parliamentary experience, highlighting reforms introduced by the 2011 Constitution and the House of Representatives' key roles in legislation, government oversight, policy evaluation, and foreign relations. He also showcased ongoing initiatives by the House, particularly in digital transformation and promoting an open parliament. He emphasized its commitment to civic engagement and highlighted the work of the Petitions and Motions Committee in legislative processes. For their part, Frank Moyo and the Zambian delegation presented the structure, composition, and functions of Zambia's National Assembly, as well as the role of the Reform and Modernization Commission. This working visit forms part of efforts to share experiences and strengthen ties between the two legislative bodies. Moyo emphasized its importance in deepening understanding of Morocco's parliamentary model.

Peru's Popular Force Party Supports Morocco's Sovereignty on Western Sahara
Rabat – Keiko Fujimori, head of Peru's Popular Force party, expressed her party's unwavering support for Morocco's sovereignty and territorial unity during a visit to Rabat on Monday. Currently on a working trip to Morocco, the Peruvian politician shared her position in a meeting with Rachid Talbi El Alami, President of the Moroccan House of Representatives. According to a statement from Morocco's Parliament, Fujimori emphasized the importance her party places on the North African country's stability and territorial integrity. Speaking during the meeting, she said her time in Morocco provided her with a closer look at the country's political and development path. She pointed to Morocco's reforms and its regional leadership as areas of interest and inspiration. Talbi El Alami used the opportunity to outline Morocco's key reforms in politics, the economy, and social policy. He gave his guest a detailed overview of Morocco's legislative system, the powers of the House of Representatives as outlined in the 2011 Constitution, and recent updates related to the national cause. Peru's Congress passed last month a motion with broad support urging the Foreign Ministry to back Morocco's Autonomy Plan for the Western Sahara, calling it the most realistic and credible path toward resolving the dispute. Since Morocco first introduced the plan to the UN in 2007, it has continued to attract support for its emphasis on stability, regional development, and respect for territorial integrity. Morocco has strengthened its standing with increased engagement in diplomatic forums and sustained outreach efforts, leading many observers and world governments to embrace the Moroccan initiative's call for a forward-looking and pragmatic path to a lasting political solution.
