The idol attended the show as a special guest alongside names like Jang Keun Suk, Lee Hong Ki, and Kim Shin Young. He even showed off his 'variety king' side and shared how his main mission on the show is to make people laugh. While talking about his and TXT's variety show appeal, he mentioned that it is definitely not one of their strongest suits, though they are all working on getting better. Showing off his 'Variety King' side, Soobin announced that he can eat a watermelon slice in 3 seconds, and actually managed to do so, shocking the guests. The idol shared that, 'I practised by eating a whole watermelon over two days. I'm not good at impressions, so I thought I might as well do something ridiculous'. Fans react to the comedic incident As videos of the viral and funny moment went online, fans started expressing their love for the idol. One fan commented, 'He's trying so hard his face looks like it's in pain, but when he looks up, his eyes are sparkling and he looks so handsome', while another shared, "Damn, that's impressive lol but wait, he practised quite a bit from the start??" TXT's Soobin recently made his first appearance on the well-known South Korean variety program Radio Star. During then, he admitted to being worried about his lack of experience in such shows. To prepare, he turned to his more seasoned HYBE labelmates for tips. During the July 16 broadcast of the show, Soobin revealed the fun advice he received from BTS's RM and SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan ahead of the recording. Soobin expresses desires for more variety show invitations for Radio Star debut The July 16th episode of Radio Star, which aired on the YouTube channel MBCentertainment, featured Soobin as guest. It marked one of the very few variety show appearances that the TXT leader made, delighting fans. Expressing his nervousness and aspirations for variety show appearances, Soobin candidly discussed his group's lack of invitations. He stated, 'I have ambitions for variety shows but our group isn't really known for being that funny, so we haven't been invited to many.' To make his appearance in Radio Star worthwhile, he resorted to the guidance of senior K-pop idols of his company. What advise did Soobin receive from RM and Seungkwan regarding variety shows? Soobin received hilarious but realistic advise from BTS leader RM and SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan regarding variety show behavior. RM used his high IQ and came up with the answer, 'Go and be loud. Go all out.' The warm sentiment expressed by RM didn't come as a surprise to fans, who know him to be a kind-hearted individual. They lovingly dubbed him the "Most supportive senior." Soobin might have sought his words of wisdom as he is reputed for tackling interviews with maturity and sharp wit. The TXT leader turned to for advice was Seungkwan– the variety show specialist. K-pop idols are renowned for being exceptionally talented performers, having undergone years of rigorous training before making their debut. Some are highly skilled dancers, while others have proven themselves to be among the finest vocalists in the industry. That said, some of these idols also have hidden talents or party tricks that many fans may not know about. TOMORROW X TOGETHER (투모로우바이투게더)'s leader, Choi Soobin (수빈), recently showed off one of his unexpected skills – and it might leave you speechless, impressed, and perhaps, even a little confused. Watch what he can do with a massive slice of watermelon in his hands: Yesterday (Wednesday, 16th July), TXT's Soobin appeared as a guest on the latest episode of MBC's Radio Star. During the broadcast, the idol spoke about his group's relationship with their seniors BTS, his role as TXT's leader, highlighted some of his personal charms, and shared the advice he received ahead of his first-ever appearance on the variety show. At one point in the episode, the singer decided to show off his unusual watermelon-eating skills, revealing that he had been practising for two days. He was handed a large slice of the refreshing fruit and, once the timer started, managed to finish it in just three seconds, much to everyone's surprise. A few pre-recorded clips were also shown, featuring his bandmates expressing confusion over why this was the particular 'talent' he chose to showcase. When asked about his reason, the 24-year-old explained that he's not confident when it comes to doing impressions, so he opted to do something fun and a little silly instead. The clip of him devouring the watermelon has since gone viral, with fans saying they were both impressed but, given his reputation for odd antics, not entirely surprised. MOAs (TXT fans) have commented that Soobin and his members are known for their quirky personalities and eccentric behaviour, traits that are very much part of their charm. Others noted that the 'Love Language' singer is one of the few idols who feels comfortable sharing his weird and unfiltered side with fans, without worrying too much about maintaining a polished idol image. Some were even curious to know how he discovered this unusual talent. Perhaps one day we'll get to see Soobin attempt the challenge again on stage during a TXT concert (though maybe not at every show), and even convince his fellow members to try and beat his record. As it turns out, there is a world record for the most watermelon eaten in 30 seconds, so maybe Soobin should aim to break it, potentially making TXT the first K-pop group with two world record holders.
