Another week, another whirlwind of totally EXTRA events! We were here, there and everywhere! We were on the scene and vibing like a boss! Police arrest 3, recover cash, gold stolen from advocate's house in Karur
Karur: Police have arrested three men in connection with an armed robbery at the house of a senior advocate here last week and seized the stolen cash and gold ornaments from them. Police said three masked men entered the house of K Arumugam, 71, an advocate practising in the Karur court, around 9.15pm on Friday. Armed with knives, they threatened and assaulted Arumugam before fleeing with Rs 6 lakh cash and a five-sovereign gold chain, a 1.5-sovereign gold chain, 50g of gold coins and a Rado wristwatch from the house. Following the robbery, Karur superintendent of police K Feroze Khan Abdulla formed special teams to crack the case. On Sunday, police apprehended R Gandhi, 27, also an advocate, while he was riding a two-wheeler suspiciously on the Trichy-Karur road. Further questioning revealed that Gandhi along with A Prashanth, 23, and C Prashanth, 27, planned and executed the robbery. Police arrested all three men and seized the stolen items and a two-wheeler used during the robbery.

2-year-old Henderson police K9 dies
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Henderson Police Department is mourning the loss of one of their canine officers Thursday morning. According to a post from the HPD Facebook page, K9 Rado fell ill and was taken into emergency surgery. Despite efforts to save him, he passed away after complications from the surgery. 'It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Henderson Police K9 Rado,' the post said. Rado, a black Belgian Malinois, was two years old, born on April 14, 2023. He joined the HPD in July 2024 from Gold Coast K9 in California as a Patrol Service Dog alongside his handler, Officer J. Kneynsberg. Though Rado was only with the HPD for just nine months, the department said he made a lasting impact. 'His intensity, drive, and eagerness to work were unmatched. Whether it was a 4 a.m. callout or a routine patrol, Rado met every shift with excitement, literally jumping with all four paws off the ground when he saw his handler in uniform,' the department wrote. While off-duty, Rado was affectionate and easygoing and never left his handler's side. He was always ready for a neck scratch or a head pat. 'He was not just a working dog—he was a companion, a teammate, and a friend.' During his service, Rado was responsible for five peaceful surrenders, including two situations where he located fleeing suspects. 'His contribution to officer safety and community protection was significant and will not be forgotten,' HPD wrote. The department extended their deepest condolences to Officer Kneynsberg and thanked Rado for his dedication. 'He will be greatly missed by all who knew and worked with him.' K-9 Rado to retire from West Springfield Police
WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The West Springfield Police Department (WSPD) is saying goodbye to a trusted member of their team. K-9 Rado is retiring on April 24, after serving for seven years at the department. His partner during his tenure was Officer John McCarthy. Western Massachusetts towns to collect prescription drugs this Saturday In an announcement by the WSPD, Rado is being recognized for his many successes, including narcotics and evidence searches, missing persons cases, criminal apprehensions, high-risk felony operations, as well as less urgent service calls such as alarm checks, presence patrols, and K-9 demonstrations. Rado began his training in Patrol and Narcotics Detection when he joined the department. He has been on approximately 200 assignments in his career and played an essential role in many arrests that required searches for drugs, money, firearms, and suspects. In one case, he jumped into the Connecticut River at night to apprehend a suspect. K-9 Rado will enjoy his retirement in the home of his former partner, Officer McCarthy. WWLP-22News, an NBC affiliate, began broadcasting in March 1953 to provide local news, network, syndicated, and local programming to western Massachusetts.
