Irish player wins life-changing 6-figure sum in massive €198m EuroMillions draw
An Irish EuroMillions player has claimed over a quarter of a million euro in Tuesday's draw, which was worth just over €198 million. Both the main jackpot, worth €198,011,279 and the EuroMillions Plus jackpot, worth €500,000, went unclaimed on the night, but the Irish punter was the lucky beneficiary of a special draw running for the entire month of May. The player in question became the eighth winner of a guaranteed €255,000 this month, with the usual Ireland-Only Raffle prize of €5,000 topped up with a whopping €250,000. The winning Raffle code was I-SDL-14299 and the other nine codes that will be worth €5,000 each to the players that hold them can be seen here. In total, over 59,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games, ranging from €4 right up to €255,000, including one player who claimed €22,752 for matching five numbers in the main EuroMillions draw. The winning numbers in that draw were 12, 30, 38, 40 and 41 and the Lucky Stars were 4 and 12. The winning numbers in the EuroMillions Plus draw, meanwhile, were 4, 7, 26, 44 and 50. With the jackpot going unclaimed on Tuesday night, Friday's jackpot is set to soar above €200 million and it will also be the last time this month that there will be a guaranteed Irish winner of €250,000 in the Ireland-Only raffle.
