A video of Taylor Swift dancing with her cat, Meredith Grey, has gone viral on social media, much to the delight of her fans who have long speculated about the feline's whereabouts. Three icons, one getaway anthem-this is pure magic,' one person wrote on X. Another commented, 'Meredith proof of life in the year 2025 oh my god can this day get any better.' "She's just a really private little cat. She likes her business kept to herself. She doesn't like a camera shoved in her face, and who can blame her. So there's your update on Meredith." Swift also owns two other cats: Olivia Benson, another Scottish Fold, and Benjamin Button, a Ragdoll. Speaking to TIME in 2019, Taylor Swift spoke about her love for cars. 'I have cats. Super Rare ‘All Brown' Cat Looks Like He Got a Bath in Hot Fudge

Brown cats are not something we see often. They're gorgeous, but they're just so rare. Seeing one is truly a treat! Having one is fun, too, apparently: they're playful, sweet, and a little bit dramatic. On Wednesday, May 14th, one cat went viral for just how brown he is. Everything, from his fur to his eyes, is the richest chocolatey brown you'll ever see, and we simply can't get enough: Teddy the Brown Cat is actually incredible. I've always said that I'd only want a Maine Coon or a Ragdoll if I was going to get a cat, but I'd make an exception for this boy!Teddy is a British Shorthair kitten, which is already a win. He was always going to be adorable, but the fact that he looks like he just came from an accident at Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory made sure of it. He has soft brown fur, and he appears to be a tabby: we can see streaks of a darker brown all over him. That's rare, that's amazing, but it's not what got this video its 3.1 million likes. His eyes are: they're almost the exact same chocolate brown as his fur, which is unlike anything we've ever seen. I mean, look at Teddy and then consider that this is what a "standard" Tabby cat looks like: The fact that brown coats are rare boils down to simple genetics: the brown gene is recessive, meaning that the kitten needs to inherit a copy from both parents to be brown. It takes very selective breeding to make a brown cat, which can lead to them being more expensive. Even if a cat is brown, they usually don't have matching brown eyes: this Cinnamon Ragdoll, for example, has green eyes. Brown eyes are exceedingly rare in cats, and when they happen, they typically manifest in shades of copper or a darker gold. Not Teddy, though. I think I need proof that his mom didn't hold him under one of those chocolate fountains before this video. 🐶🐾🐾

Baby Tries To Climb Stairs, New Kitten Knows What To Do: 'Nanny Position'

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A protective kitten has captured the hearts of users across the internet with her innate babysitting skills. In a viral Instagram video posted in April, mom Steph Evans (@stephrevans) shared how 4-month-old kitty, Miso, gently held back her 9-month-old human sister, Lola, as she tried to climb the stairs. "When you thought $1,200 was a lot for a cat until you realize she's also a nanny" the 27-year-old from Utah County captioned the clip. "The nanny position has been filled", she added. Evans told Newsweek that ever since they recently brought home their Siberian kitty, baby Lola has been laughing and smiling around her, and even just seeing Miso hanging out nearby "boosts her mood like crazy!" Screenshots of he viral video shows Miso stopping her sister Lola from climbing up the stairs. Evans' older daughter, Renee, 4-years-old, also seems to be a big fan of the family's new pet. In a video shared in the same month, Ren and Miso are inseparable, doing everything together, from playing, to reading books and cuddling. Indeed, cats can be incredible companions for children of all ages, not just because they're cute and cuddly, but because they can enrich their life, and help their development. The Animal Humane Society explains that taking care of an animal can teach children how to be responsible. Cats in particular, with their solitary and skittish ways, can also teach them patience. But the benefits of raising your kids with cats don't stop there. On a physical level, growing up around pets helps build up your child's immune system as they age. And, last but not least, a cat will be their most loyal and trusted friend, always there to provide companionship when they're lonely or down. The best cat breeds to have around children, according to Pet MD, include Ragdoll, Maine Coon, American Shorthair, Siamese, Birman, Burmese, Abyssinian, Norwegian Forest Cat, Siberian, Scottish Fold, Himalayan, and Manx. The video quickly went viral on social media and it has so far received over 2.7 million views and 201,945 likes on the platform alone. One user, commented: "Holy cow I didn't know cats can be that expensive?! But she's like the most unique beautiful cat hahah! We're also getting a "nanny" that will be 4K." Fallon.m83171 said: "This is so funny. Adorable how baby knew something was up." Pampersus added: "A pawfect assistant." Ragdoll Cat's Stunning Teal Eyes Have Everyone Hypnotized

Ragdolls cats are crazy beautiful. They're everything a cat lover could ever dream of, and to boot, they have the temperament of an angel. They're just perfect, and to boot, they have such beautiful eyes. Even though every Ragdoll on the planet has beautiful eyes, there's one who has them all beat. When her mama posted a video of her on Friday, May 9th, we could hardly believe our own eyes. They're the prettiest shade of teal: Eevee and Yoshi are both beautiful, but Eevee's eyes are otherworldly entirely. It's like someone bottled up the ocean!Eevee the Ragdoll is the oldest of the two cats, and she's also the tallest. Look at how stretched out she is in this video! She is so tall, and she's very floppy, too: when her mom picks her up, she just dangles. In terms of conventionally attractive cats, Eevee definitely makes the list! Since she's a standard Ragdoll, Eevee has the most striking blue eyes, though they do look just a little bit green in that light. Her brother's eyes almost match hers, but they're just a twinge more grey. A lot of people believe that, to be a real Ragdoll, the cat has to have blue eyes. However, that's actually not the case! While it is true that most (about 60%) of them do have blue eyes, a totally legitimate, purebred Ragdoll might have: Gold eyes. Green eyes. Mismatched eyes. There are two distinct types of Ragdolls, too: traditional Ragdolls and "Mink" Ragdolls. Minks are often different-colored in general, like this rare cinnamon-brown kitty, and they're more likely to have less-traditional eye colors. Eevee's eyes would win in a fight against every single one of them, though. Plus, it doesn't help that she's so tall, so fluffy, and so very sweet! 🐶🐾🐾

Fabulous reads: Chris Carter returns with brilliant dark novel

Genesis, Chris Carter, Jonathan Ball Publishers, ISBN: 9781471197581 Genesis has been, by far, one of the darkest crime thrillers I have read. It's gruesome, graphic and unsettling. A close second, for me, would be Ragdoll by Daniel Cole. It is definitely not a read for the faint of heart. In saying so, Genesis is nothing short of brilliant. While Chris Carter weaved the most unimaginable, abhorrent and brutal crimes, he also surprisingly managed to show the humanity of the killer, whose murders had people questioning if it was the work of the devil himself. Also read: Fabulous reads: Secrets and suspense collide in compelling page-turner The book had me guessing the 'who' and the 'why' until the very end. And the truth was devastating – sparked by a tragedy that you wouldn't think could happen to anyone these days. And while the investigators, Robert Hunter and his partner, Carlos Garcia, are not my absolute favourite duo, their characters are relatable, compassionate and determined yet flawed. They had an easy, believable and endearing bond. This is everything you would expect from a 12th book in a series. I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for the other editions in this series. – Mariclair Smit 5/5 stars For more from the Highway Mail, follow us on Facebook , X and Instagram.
