Cognizant holds pre-placement connect event at MITS

Key speakers Raghavendra Kulkarni, Global Delivery Partner, and Jitender Singh, HR Senior Manager - Campus Recruitment, shared valuable insights on industry expectations, emerging tech skills, and career opportunities at Cognisant. The interactive session highlighted the growing demand for skills in Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Java. Kulkarni emphasised continuous learning and aligning academic goals with industry standards, while Singh guided students on succeeding in online assessments and tech interviews. Venu Chowdary, Head of Placement & Training at MITS, thanked Cognisant for their continued collaboration in shaping industry-ready graduates.

As per the press release issued, the session featured Raghavendra Kulkarni, Global Delivery Partner, who shared insights on evolving IT trends, recruitment strategies, and the importance of industry-relevant skills. Emphasising on proficiency in technologies like Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Java, Mr. Kulkarni highlighted the need for adaptability and continuous learning. The event provided students with an opportunity to engage directly with Cognizant's recruiters, the release added.

INVICTUS-2025 technology festival in Vijayapura tomorrow
BLDE Association's Dr. P.G. Halakatti College of Engineering and Technology will organise INVICTUS-2025, a national-level technology festival, in Vijayapura on Thursday. The inter-college competition aims to explore innovative and technically proficient programmes that showcase the hidden talents of young engineering students. It provides a unique opportunity for students to showcase their technical essay presentation, technical quiz, coding and debugging, design, modelling and others. Over 500 students are expected to participate. Over 80 technical events will be conducted. Students can participate in individual and group events in the tech fest competition. BLDE University Registrar Raghavendra Kulkarni will inaugurate the event. The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and CSE (Data Science) will coordinate. Faculty members Pushpa B. Patil and U. D. Dixit will lead the event team. Faculty members and students from nine departments will organize technical events. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners and certificates to the participants, Director V.G. Sangam said in a release.
