Nag Panchami 2025: Puja Vidhi, Muhurat & Powerful Remedies for Rahu-Ketu Dosha
Nag Panchami is a sacred festival in Sanatan Dharma, observed to honor the divine serpent energies known as Nagas. These serpents are not ordinary beings; they are carriers of cosmic forces that influence human destiny. Our scriptures describe them as protectors of hidden treasures, guardians of karma, and powerful entities connected to the planets Rahu and Ketu. Worshipping Nag Devta on this day helps remove serpent-related doshas, protects one's home, and blesses the family with peace and prosperity. In the Puranas, it is mentioned that Lord Shiva adorns the serpent Vasuki, symbolising mastery over fear and poison. Offering prayers to the Nagas on this day invokes their blessings and pacifies any malefic influence of Rahu and Ketu. Puja Timing & Rituals for 2025 According to the Hindu Panchang, the festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated every year on the Panchami Tithi of the Shukla Paksha in the holy month of Shravan. For the year 2025, the Panchami Tithi will begin on 28 July 2025 at 11:24 PM and end on 30 July 2025 at 12:46 AM. Based on the Panchang, this sacred festival will be observed on 29 July 2025. Simple Puja Vidhi for Nag Panchami 2025 Wake up early during the Brahma Muhurat, bathe, and wear clean traditional clothes. Prepare the puja space and place an idol or picture of Nag Devta. Offer flowers, turmeric, sandalwood, and akshat (unbroken rice) to the deity. Pour milk mixed with honey over the idol or at an anthill where Nagas are believed to reside. Light a ghee lamp, offer incense, and chant mantras like 'Om Namah Shivaya'. Recite Rahu and Ketu mantras with devotion. End the puja with an aarti and distribute prasad to family members. Performing this Puja Vidhi during the auspicious time ensures blessings and protection from serpent-related troubles. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Treatment That Might Help You Against Knee Pain Knee pain | search ads Find Now Undo Rahu-Ketu Dosha & Its Effects In astrology, Rahu and Ketu are shadow planets, yet their influence is powerful and transformative. Zodiac signs most affected by Rahu and Ketu transits
I witness Rahu and Ketu's celestial passage through the zodiac. Constellations express emotions as the serpents traverse the cosmic nebula. Rahu and Ketu—the lunar nodes—are shadow planets that don't have physical bodies but exert powerful karmic and psychological influences. Their transits are known to bring sudden changes, inner transformation, confusion, or spiritual growth. While these shifts affect everyone, some zodiac signs tend to feel their impact more intensely. Gemini and Sagittarius are deeply affected when Rahu and Ketu transit their signs or their opposite axis. Gemini, being ruled by Mercury, feels the mental restlessness and overthinking Rahu brings. Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, may experience a clash between spiritual ideals and material desires. These signs often undergo major shifts in perspective, career, or relationships during such transits, leading to both challenges and awakening. Taurus and Scorpio also feel the weight of Rahu-Ketu transits quite profoundly. When Rahu enters Taurus, it can heighten desires for stability, luxury, or control, while Ketu in Scorpio pushes for emotional detachment and deep introspection. These opposite forces can make Taurus feel unsettled and Scorpio feel emotionally raw, often resulting in life-altering realizations or karmic encounters. Virgo and Pisces, being mutable and spiritually inclined, can struggle with Rahu's illusions and Ketu's detachment. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Top Public Speaking Course for Children Planet Spark Book Now Undo Virgo might feel overwhelmed with over-analysis or confusion about direction, while Pisces may feel pulled between spiritual freedom and worldly responsibility. These signs are prone to inner conflict during Rahu-Ketu transits but also experience tremendous personal growth if they stay grounded. Leo can also feel Rahu's presence intensely, especially if it transits their first or seventh house. The ego, identity, or relationships may be tested, leading to power struggles or a need to rethink their personal path. Rahu and Ketu transits are not to be feared—they're meant to guide us toward balance. These shadow planets reveal what we're overly attached to and what we need to let go of. For the signs most affected, this period often marks a turning point toward greater clarity, growth, and spiritual evolution. What is Pitru Dosha and how it affects your family
I see my ancestors, their ethereal forms merging with the twilight landscape. I feel their peaceful, guiding presence. Pitru Dosha is a karmic condition that occurs in a birth chart when there is an imbalance or unresolved ancestral debt. The word "Pitru" refers to forefathers or ancestors, and "Dosha" means a flaw or disturbance. Pitru Dosha is not a curse, but rather an indication that certain responsibilities or spiritual duties toward ancestors may have been left unfulfilled—either by the individual or their lineage. Astrologically, Pitru Dosha is often formed when the Sun, Moon, or Rahu-Ketu are placed in certain houses or when malefic planets occupy the 9th house (the house of father, dharma, and blessings). It is also linked to afflictions in the 2nd and 5th houses, which represent family, children, and lineage. The 9th house, in particular, reflects blessings from ancestors and the karmic merits passed down through generations. When this house is disturbed, it may signify that the flow of ancestral grace is blocked. People with Pitru Dosha in their horoscope may face recurring problems such as delay in marriage, childbearing issues, financial instability, family disputes, or health concerns that don't respond to normal remedies. The idea is that these challenges are not entirely personal—they stem from unhealed energies or duties owed to departed ancestors. In Indian tradition, Shraddha rituals, Tarpan, and feeding the poor or animals during Pitru Paksha (ancestral fortnight) are considered effective remedies. These acts are performed with the intention of bringing peace to the souls of ancestors and healing the karmic lineage. Even chanting mantras like the Pitru Gayatri or Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, or performing donations in their name, is said to help balance this Dosha. Pitru Dosha is a reminder of our deep connection with those who came before us. It urges us to honor our roots, fulfill our duties with gratitude, and consciously heal the invisible bonds that influence our present. By doing so, we not only resolve hidden blockages but also invite blessings for future generations. Srikalahasti temple may soon get AI-powered pilgrim services
Tirupati: Srikalahasteeswara Swamy Temple is set to witness a digital transformation with the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) services, as proposed by local MLA Bojjala Sudhir Reddy. On Wednesday, the MLA met with Google Vice-President Thota Chandu during his visit to the historic temple and discussed the potential role of AI in enhancing pilgrim services. During their meeting, MLA Sudhir Reddy briefed Thota Chandu about the significance of the temple, the heavy daily footfall, and the unique Rahu-Ketu pujas performed there. After Chandu participated in a Rahu-Ketu puja, the MLA held a detailed discussion with him regarding how AI could be integrated into temple operations to address issues faced by devotees. Referring to a similar initiative by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the MLA pointed out that the use of AI in Tirumala has already shown promising results. TTD had previously conducted trial runs using AI-based crowd monitoring technology to manage queues and streamline darshan experiences for pilgrims. These trials, overseen by TTD EO J Syamala Rao and other officials, were conducted over a week and are likely to be officially approved soon if proven successful. The TTD's AI system involves the installation of smart cameras across compartments, entry points, and exit routes to monitor pilgrim flow and queue density in real time. It collects data on different darshan categories — Sarvadarshanam, Slotted Darshan, and Special Entry Darshan — and helps estimate waiting times with precision. The ultimate goal is to reduce congestion and ensure a more seamless darshan experience, with most devotees completing their visit in under an by this model, MLA Sudhir Reddy urged Thota Chandu to prioritise the implementation of similar AI technology at Srikalahasti, even ahead of its full deployment in Tirumala. In response, the Google Vice President assured his support and expressed willingness to facilitate the integration of AI at the temple.
