Neighbourhood Futures Festival staged at Birmingham reservoir

A free four day festival is coming to Birmingham, with the aim of boosting residents' connection with nature. Birmingham Settlement Nature & Wellbeing Centre is hosting the event next to Edgbaston Reservoir - described by organisers as an "idyllic green oasis" - from Thursday until Sunday. Guests can arrive from 10:00 BST to enjoy talks, workshops and interactive sessions on the city's green spaces - as well as a community picnic and community litter third annual Neighbourhood Futures Festival is free and tickets can be booked online, with its main aim of bringing communities together. Sunny Khosla, who runs mental health support group Raising Voices, is set to stage a showcase over the about the importance of the event, he said: "It's a great way to connect with nature in an idyllic green oasis, right in the heart of the city."It's four days packed full and it's a way for young people to remember how to socialise without screens. "A lot of important work happens there, it brings a lot of communities together an it's a lovely area to have a great day and get in touch with yourself and the neighbourhood."Each day there are events running from 10:00 BST to 17:00, with the full itinerary listed below. Olympo OTT release date: Olympo, a Spanish-language series, has created a great deal of buzz among fans with its intense trailer that offers a closer look at the lives of athletes. It features eight episodes, which suggests that it will feature a crisp and compact narrative. Olympo is set to premiere on Netflix on June 20. What's Olympo about? Olympo is a teen sports drama that focuses on the challenges faced by athletes at the Pirineos High Performance Center as well as the dynamics between them. 'When a swimmer collapses at a high-performance sports center, Amaia investigates the extreme risks her fellow athletes are taking to feed their ambition," reads the official synopsis as per Netflix. Going by this, the plot will raise some hard-hitting questions while delving into the cost paid by athletes in their quest for excellence. It will also examine the interpersonal relationships between the characters. Meet the cast and crew Olympo stars Clara Galle as Amaia Olaberria, the captain of the National synchronised swimming team. She rose to fame with the television shows Raising Voices and The Head and the Boarding School. She was also seen in the 2022 romantic drama Through My Window. She is joined by María Romanillos as Nuria Bórges, her best friend. Maria began her film career with The Consequences (2021). She then went on to appear in flicks such as Staring At Strangers and 13 Exorcisms. The cast of Olympo also includes Nuno Gallego, Agustín Della Corte, Martí Cordero and Nira Oshaia. The series is written by Ibai Abad, Laia Foguet, and Jan Matheu. Ruben Goldfarb serves as the executive producer.
