ICAI CA Final 2025 results out, Mumbai boys shine in 2out of top 3 ranks
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially announced the results of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) May 2025 examinations for all three levels — Foundation, Intermediate, and Final. The latest results have once again highlighted the academic excellence of students from cities like Mumbai, Ghaziabad, Kolkata, and Jaipur, with more than 2.1 lakh candidates appearing across all the CA Final examination, widely regarded as the most challenging phase of the CA journey, 14,247 students successfully cleared the exam to become qualified Chartered Accountants. The exam was conducted in three formats: Group I, Group II, and Both total of 66,943 students appeared for Group I, with 14,979 passing, marking a pass percentage of 22.38%. Group II witnessed 46,173 candidates, of which 12,204 passed, reflecting a 26.43% success rate. For those attempting both groups together, 29,286 students appeared and 5,490 passed, yielding a pass percentage of 18.75%.ICAI TOPPERS 2025 Rajan Kabra from Mumbai has topped the CA Final exam by scoring 516 marks out of 600, an impressive 86%, securing All India Rank 1 (AIR 1). He is followed by Nishtha Bothra from Kolkata, who scored 503 marks (83.83%), and Manav Rakesh Shah, also from Mumbai, with 493 marks (82.17%), taking the third CA Intermediate examination, which serves as the second level in the Chartered Accountancy course, proved to be intensely competitive. 97,034 students appeared for Group I, out of which 14,232 passed, reflecting a pass rate of 14.67%. In Group II, 15,502 out of 72,069 candidates cleared the exam, yielding a 21.51% pass rate. For both groups combined, 38,029 students appeared and 5,028 qualified, resulting in a 13.22% pass Ashish Gokhru from Mumbai secured the top position in the Intermediate level with 513 out of 600 marks (85.5%). She is followed by Devidan Yash Sandeep from Aurangabad, who scored 503 marks (83.83%). The third position is shared by two students — Yamish Jain from Jaipur and Nilay Dangi from Udaipur — both scoring 502 marks (83.67%).At the Foundation level, which is the entry point into the Chartered Accountancy journey, 82,662 students appeared for the exam across 551 centres. Among them, 7,056 male candidates and 5,418 female candidates cleared the exam. This results in a pass percentage of 16.26% for male candidates, 13.80% for females, and an overall success rate of 15.09%.Topping the Foundation level is Vrinda Agarwal from Ghaziabad, who scored 362 marks out of 400, registering a striking 90.5%. She is closely followed by Yadnesh Rajesh Narkar from Mumbai, who scored 359 marks (89.75%), and Shardul Shekhar Vichare from Thane, with 358 marks (89.5%).The May 2025 CA exam cycle not only brought forward a new cohort of Chartered Accountants but also reinforced the rising academic excellence from both metropolitan and emerging cities. Mumbai: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), on Sunday, announced the results of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) Final, Intermediate, and Foundation examinations conducted in May 2025. With an All India Rank No. 1 in the CA final exam, is Rajan Kabra from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, scoring an impressive 86% in his very first attempt. Kabra, a student of the Savitribai Phule Pune University was inspired to embark on the CA journey by his father who is a practicing CA. 'My father's career and dedication inspired me to choose this field. After clearing the intermediate level, I moved to Mumbai for my articleship. Alongside work, I dedicated myself to studies, and this result is the outcome of that effort,' said Kabra. He added that he is deciding whether to continue working at his current job or to join his father's firm. At second rank is Nishita Bothra from Kolkata, who scored 83.83%, and Manav Shah from Ghatkopar, secured the third rank with 82.17%. Shah, who completed his schooling at Sheth Virchand Dhanji Secondary English Medium School and went on to study at Narsee Monjee College, Vile Parle, credited his elder brother for guiding him through the CA journey. 'My brother inspired me to pursue this career. His support through my studies was invaluable. I began preparing right after Class 12, and this result brings me immense joy,' he said. Shah is yet to decide whether to begin an independent practice or pursue a job. In the CA intermediate exams, Disha Gokhru from Mumbai holds the All India No. 1 rank, and Devidhan Sandeep takes the second position. Yasmin Jain from Jaipur and Nilay Dangi from Udaipur secured the third and fourth ranks. In the CA Foundation results, also declared today, Vrinda Agarwal from Ghaziabad secured the All India Rank No. 1. Yajnesh Narkar from Mumbai, and Shardul Vichare from Thane came second and third. The CA course has three levels where the Foundation exam is the entry-level exam, the Intermediate one builds upon that foundation, and the final exam is the most advanced of the three. The Intermediate and Final level exams have two groups, Group 1 which focuses on subjects like accounting and law, and Group 2 which delves into advanced concepts like cost accounting and auditing. Those attempting the CA Intermediate or Final exam can either appear from Group 1, Group 2, or both groups in the same exam. This year, a total of 14,247 candidates have successfully cleared the final exam across the three groups.

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Rajan Kabra from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has achieved the remarkable feat of securing All India Rank 1 in the recent CA final examination, results for which were announced by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Sunday. "Focusing on clarity of subject concepts, consistent efforts, and hard work perhaps helped me in becoming the national topper. I was expecting to be among the top 50 rankers, but I still cannot believe getting AIR 1," he said. This is not Kabra's first national triumph. He previously secured All India Rank 1 in the CA Intermediate Examination and topped the Common Proficiency Test, making him the first from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and the wider region to achieve AIR 1 in the CA examination. This year, around 80 students from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar qualified for the CA examination, which was held in May. ICAI Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar branch chairman Mahesh Indani, vice-chairman Amol Godha, secretary Anand Totla, treasurer Rafeeque Pathan, and others congratulated the successful students.

New Delhi [India], July 6 (ANI): The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Sunday announced the results of CA Final, Intermediate and Foundation Examinations held in May 2025, in which nearly one lakh aspirants appeared. According to an official statement released by the ICAI, for the CA final exam, Mumbai's Rajan Kabra secured the top spot with an 86% with a score of 516/600. Meanwhile, Nishtha Bothra, and Manav Rakesh Jha secured the second and third spot in the final exam. During the Final examination held in May 2025 - 99,466 candidates were admitted and exams were held across 564 centers, the statement read. On this occasion, ICAI president CA Charanjot Singh Nanda congratulated students and said 'I congratulate all successful candidates for their hard work and perseverance. As you now step into the professional world, I urge you to uphold the highest ethical standards, inspire trust through your actions and make your family, profession and nation proud. I am confident that your integrity and commitment will play a meaningful role in shaping a robust, transparent and prosperous Viksit Bharat. For the Intermediate exam, Mumbai's Disha Ashish Gokhru secured the AIR 1 rank, getting 85.50 percentage and 513/600 marks. Aurangabad's Devidan Yash Sandeep secured the second rank with an 83.83 percent, and Yamish Jain and Nilay Dangi shared the third place. In the Intermediate examination held in May 2025 - 1,69,172 candidates admitted and exams were held across 564 centers. For the CA Foundation Examination Ghaziabad's Vrinda Agarwal secured the All India first rank with 90.5% securing 362/400 marks. Mumbai and Thane's Yadnesh Rajesh Markar, and Shardul Shekhar Vichare, secured the second and third rank, respectively. In the Foundation Examination held in May 2025, 96,538 candidates admitted and the exams were held across 551 Centers. According to ICAI's statement, the Final and Intermediate exam takers were divided in Group 1 and Group 2. In CA Final, Group 1 had a pass percentage of 22.38%, while Group 2 26.43%. Meanwhile, in CA intermediate, the pass percentages were 14.67% and 21.51% for Group 1 and Group 2, respectively. (ANI)
