Lalit Kalal elected president, Yash Pratap Singh secretary of the Rajasthan State Handball Association; Manish Agarwal is new senior vice president
Jaipur: Lalit Kumar Kalal of Banswara was elected president, while Tonk's Yash Pratap Singh retained his post of honorary secretary in the elections of Rajasthan State Handball Association held here recently under the Rajasthan Sports Act-2005. Dr Manish Agarwal of Jaipur was nominated as the senior vice president. Elections were held unopposed for all the 21 posts. Lokesh Sharma was chosen as the treasurer. Manish Verma, officer-in-charge, regional sports training centre, Jaipur, on behalf of Rajasthan State Sports Council, KC Mitharwal on behalf of Rajasthan State Olympic Association, and joint secretary Praveen Kumar Singh on behalf of Handball Association India were the observers. While the election officer was Mahesh Chand Saini. Rajasthan State Olympic Association President Anil Vyas was also present on the occasion. Rajasthan's Mamta, Muskan in Indian handball team for Asian Youth Championship; Manisha Rathore named coach for China tournament
Jaipur: Rajasthan's Mamta and Muskan have been selected in the Indian team for the 11th Asian Youth Women's Handball Championship slated to be held from July 18 to 26 in Jiangshan, China. Manisha Rathore has been appointed as the coach of the 18-member Indian squad. The Indian women's handball team reached China on Thursday after attending the training camp, organized by SAI from June 12 to July 15 at the SAI Excellence Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The honorary secretary of Rajasthan State Handball Association, Yash Pratap Singh said that Muskan, who plays in the left back position, and Mamta, who is the pivot in the team, are the members of the Women's Handball Academy, run by Rajasthan State Sports Council in Jaipur. Manisha Rathore, who has been made the coach of the team, is working as a handball coach in the Rajasthan State Sports Council. Earlier, she was the coach of the Indian team in the Asian and World Championships.
