From education to healthcare, ‘AI data park' is Chhattisgarh's ‘one stop solution'

Whether it is providing quick and easy access to education in remote areas, ensuring quick medical test reports, or expediting implementation of government services such as Aadhaar, Chhattisgarh appears to have a one-stop solution – Artificial Intelligence. On Saturday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the Artificial Intelligence-based Data Centre Park – a facility that the state government sees as a step in the direction of 'technological reliance', according to State Industry Secretary Rajat Kumar. Located at Sector 22 of Nava Raipur, the park is spread across 13.5 acres of land and will provide services such as GPU-based computing, AI processing, data analytics, and live streaming. The Data Center Park will include a 2.7-hectare area developed as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and will be operated by RackBank Datacenters Private Limited. According to officials, the park will transform sectors from healthcare and education to agriculture and security. The initiative is also expected to create over 500 jobs, mainly in the IT sector. 'For example, doctors can get a quick report and a farmer can get advice to know when it will rain or what crop to grow. Children can also study from home using mobile phones or computers, because this park will provide fast internet connection,' a senior government official said. 'People living in faraway tribal areas will also be able to get education, healthcare, and government help easily through their mobile phones.' Describing the move as 'historic', Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai called it a 'digital backbone for a new era of growth and empowerment'. State Industry Secretary Rajat Kumar said: 'The park will make Chhattisgarh a new hub for data management in the country. This project is a major step towards technological self-reliance'.
