Women's self-confidence is foundation of societal progress: MLA
Nagarkurnool: 'Women'sself-confidence is the foundation of societal progress, and the state government is laying a strong foundation for the economic empowerment of women,' said Nagarkurnool MLA Dr Rajesh Reddy. 'The honour and respect of women is a key goal of the government,' added Achampet MLA Dr Vamshikrishna. The Indira Mahila Shakti celebrations were held in a grand and festive manner on Sunday at the Teegala Venkata Swamy Kalyana Mandapam in the district headquarters. During the event, cheques worth Rs 14.22 crores were distributed through bank linkage to 254 women self-help groups in the Nagarkurnool constituency. Additionally, cheques worth Rs 3.03 crores were distributed to 2,568 SHG members, Rs 50 lakh accident insurance cheques to five members, and loan insurance cheques worth Rs 17.40 lakhs to 28 members. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rajesh said that women's self-confidence is the true driving force behind a progressive society. He emphasized that in the Indiramma people's government, women are being encouraged and empowered across all sectors through the implementation of numerous welfare schemes. Women's development and self-reliance are considered the cornerstones of Telangana's future. The government is prioritizing self-employment opportunities, strengthening self-help groups, and improving access to education and healthcare. MLA Dr Vamshikrishna recalled that in 1992, then-Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao introduced the DWCRA scheme for women's economic upliftment. In 1996, then-Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu rebranded it as the 'Velugu' scheme, and from 2004 to 2014, Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy continued it under the name IKP (Indira Kranthi Patham), playing a key role in promoting women's development.

He added, 'Despite the challenges and false cases filed against us by the previous government, you all stood firm with faith and worked tirelessly for the party's win. I will always work for the welfare of such dedicated workers and their families.' 'I will be available to help any worker, even in the middle of the night if needed. I will always stand by you,' he assured. Dr. Rajesh Reddy also urged every worker to take the welfare schemes of the Congress-led government to the people and explain them in a way they can understand. 'Our Hon'ble Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is spending unprecedented funds on public welfare. With upcoming local body and village panchayat elections, all workers must coordinate at the village level and avoid group politics. Let's take the welfare schemes strongly to the people and ensure that the Congress flag continues to fly high,' he said. The event was attended by Nagarkurnool Agricultural Market Committee Chairman Ramana Rao, Block Congress Presidents, Mandal-level Congress leaders, and several party workers.

MLA Rajesh Reddy distributes CMRF cheques to 45 beneficiaries
Nagarkurnool: MLA Dr. Kuchukulla Rajesh Reddy distributed cheques sanctioned under the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) to 45 beneficiaries from the Bijnapally mandal on Wednesday. He stated that the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is committed to supporting families suffering from health issues and those who are financially disadvantaged. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Rajesh Reddy said, 'The welfare of the people is the top priority of our government. We aim to ensure that all eligible citizens receive the benefits of government schemes. Anyone who has not yet applied should do so immediately. No matter the problem, I will always stand by you as your MLA.' The beneficiaries, after receiving their cheques, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister and the MLA. Rajesh Reddy also emphasized the need for greater awareness among the public regarding government schemes, urging all eligible individuals to make use of the available support. The event saw participation from local public representatives, mandal presidents, town and village party leaders, youth and women leaders, beneficiaries, and senior party members.
