Rajkumar Kewalramani Girls' College celebrates Independence Day with enthusiasm
1 2 Nagpur: The Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Rajkumar Kewalramani Girls' College, Jaripatka. The event was held in the august presence of college management president Prof Vijay Kewalramani, principal Dr Urmila Dabir, Neelam Ahuja, Kailash Kewalramani, Rashmi Wadhwani, Richa Kewalramani, Varsha Shende and Madhu celebrations included flag hoisting, the national song, cultural performances and patriotic presentations, which filled the atmosphere with a spirit of nationalism. In his address, Prof Vijay Kewalramani said that freedom was earned through the sacrifices of great leaders and freedom fighters, and therefore, August 15 serves as a reminder of our duties and responsibilities. Neelam Ahuja urged students to shoulder their responsibilities towards society, while Dr Urmila Dabir emphasised that women's empowerment should be regarded as a matter of pride. Kewalramani College students foster brotherhood and social harmony with Rakhi programme
Nagpur: Students of Rajkumar Kewalramani Girls' College, Jaripatka, celebrated Raksha Bandhan as a 'Social Harmony and Brotherhood Day' tying rakhi to parents of all faiths and relgions and the guests. Chief guest of the function was Dr Jagdish Bhagchandani, while industrialist Raju Sawlani was a special guest. Sindhu Navyuvak Mandal president Prof Vijay Kewalramani presided over the function. Vijay Kewalramani noted that the mandal has marked Rakhi Festival in this spirit for last 58 years. Dr Bhagchandani called Raksha Bandhan a festival of love and trust, urging adoption of faith, simplicity, discipline, and good conduct. Sawlani sang a song on the occasion, saying true bonds rest on understanding and cooperation. Principal Neelam Ahuja urged the gathering to pledge for environmental protection alongside strengthening sibling bonds. The event saw dedicated efforts from faculty and smooth compering by Renuka Thakre, with a vote of thanks from Kashish Kewalramani.
