Bharat-Tibet Sahayog Movement Celebrates Dalai Lama's 90th Birthday

agpur: The 90th birth anniversary of Dalai Lama was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Bharat-Tibet Sahayog Movement at Rajkumar Kewalramani Girls College in Jaripatka.
The event was graced by national president Ashok Mendhe, Maharashtra president Prof Vijay Kewalramani, state vice-president Jaswinder Singh Saini, general secretary Virag Raut, Vidarbha secretary Kailash Kewalramani, women's wing president Sapna Talreja, and other dignitaries.
Ashok Mendhe condemned China's attempts to interfere in Tibetan religious traditions by unilaterally deciding the successor to the 14th Dalai Lama.
He emphasised that only the 'Gaden Phodrang Foundation' holds the right to determine the successor, in line with Tibetan customs.
Prof Vijay Kewalramani expressed hope to celebrate the Dalai Lama's 91st birthday in a free Tibet, in Lhasa. He praised the Dalai Lama's peaceful resistance to China's expansionist policies and called him a symbol of global courage and compassion.
Speakers including Dr Anil Popere, Jaswinder Saini, Prashant Kalpande, Dinesh Wasnik, and Kailash Kewalramani highlighted the Dalai Lama's unwavering commitment to non-violence, peace, and Tibetan freedom.
The programme concluded with a vow to support the Tibetan cause and prayers for the Dalai Lama's long life.
