Bhim Sena draws NMC poll strategy: All schools to be converted to English medium, tax rebate for parents who enrol kids here
Nagpur: Bhim Sena has drawn up a plan for the NMC polls saying they will focus on upgrading education infrastructure which is the 'biggest need of citizens'.
The party's Nagpur district president Rakesh Dhargave told TOI that his party will contest independently on all seats in the NMC polls, denying possibility of any alliance.
Dhargave said, "Our poll promise will be to upgrade NMC schools to English medium which will drive enrolment.
We will also provide tax rebates to those families who enrol their kids in NMC schools."
He added that private English medium schools are now 'unaffordable' for many. Dhargave said, "There is nothing in this world which is more important for parents than to provide good education to their children. This education will enable them to fulfil their dreams in the future.
It will be our endeavour to keep on upgrading the quality of education in civic schools."
For their political strategy, Dhargave said there will be no alliance for the polls. Dhargave said, "We will soon start screening candidates and we will contest every seat. There is no possibility of alliance with any other party, because we are confident that people will trust us with their valuable votes."
When asked how Bhim Sena will compete against established parties like the BJP and Congress, Dhargave said, "It's all about convincing people about our intent.

On overcoming concerns by voters regarding trusting a party which is not in power either at the centre or the state, Dhargave said, "We do not wish to fight the state or the Centre, rather we want to work along with them. We will tell the people how we plan to work with the state and Centre. And about funds, the civic body has its own budget and we will ensure that it is utilised optimally."
Dhargave denied that his party is aping the Aam Aadmi Party model where focus was on civic benefits for citizens. Dhargave said, "We are different because we are not giving anything away for free, if voted to power. The intent is to provide services to citizens which is mandated by the Constitution."
