UP govt has transformed MSME sector in state: Dy CM

1 2 3 Lucknow: Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Thursday termed the small-scale industries the catalyst of nation-building and said the UP govt has worked very hard on this front over the past few years. "Since BJP got the chance to serve the people of UP in 2017, the investment and business ecosystem of the state changed for the better. This journey of transformation would continue with concerted efforts and contributions of all stakeholders," he said at the ASSOCHAM MSME conclave. State MSME minister Shri Rakesh Sachan said the aim of the state govt is to make the sector the most employment-generating one. "While on one hand, the govt eliminated barriers that prevented business expansion, on the other hand it came up with policies that boost business activity," he said, adding that the focus is to raise a skilled workforce now. State finance minister Suresh Khanna said the efforts made by the govt can yield fruits only when the govt banks also become liberal for this sector. Khanna said the Yogi govt has been making continuous efforts to encouraging small and medium industries through One District One Product (ODOP), Unity Mall, Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Yojana etc. Advisor to CM, Awanish Awasthi stressed the need for the representatives to know the policies of the govt. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Köln: GEERS sucht 700 Testhörer für Hörgeräte ohne Zuzahlung GEERS Undo "The govt has made all kinds of platforms and arrangements, but due to a lack of awareness, entrepreneurs are not able to take advantage of them," he said. Minister of state (independent charge) Kapil Dev Agarwal interacted with members of the business community to clear their doubts and offer solutions to their problems. Additional CEO, Invest UP, Shashank Chaudhary, said the state's formidable base in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises—which was one of the highest concentrations of MSMEs in India—was a testament to its thriving entrepreneurial spirit and deep-rooted business ecosystem. "Complimented with demographic dividend, business-friendly ecosystem, strong resolve, and leadership, UP has become a magnet of investment. The MSME players of the state shall continue to reap benefits from it," he said, urging younger people to become job-givers instead of chasing the line of jobseekers.
