Farhan Akhtar's 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' to release again on July 18

Farhan Akhtar's hit film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is all set to released again in theatres on July 18. The film, which was directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, depicted the life and times of Milkha Singh, one of India's most renowned athletes and a former national champion in the 400-metres sprint. The movie also depicts his inspiring journey, starting from his traumatic childhood during the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, where he lost most of his family members, to becoming a successful athlete and a national hero. 'Bhaag Milka Bhaag' received critical acclaim and was a commercial success. Akhtar's portrayal of Singh was highly praised for his dedication and transformation into the character. Sonam Kapoor also starred in the film. Milkha Singh died on June 18, 2021.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is a name in the film industry who won the hearts of the audience with strong, funny, and brilliant stories as well as sensitive direction in the entertainment industry. Born in Delhi in 1963, Rakeysh Mehra not only gave a new direction to Indian cinema but also gave voice to the sentiments of the country through his films. Through films like 'Rang De Basanti', 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', and 'Delhi-6', he proved that film is not just entertainment, but also a powerful means of showing a mirror to society. This star delivered a blockbuster from his debut Talking about Rakeysh's childhood, he spent it in the streets of Delhi. His father was an employee in a hotel in New Delhi, and the financial condition of the family was normal. The seed of creativity sprouted in Rakeysh while studying in Delhi's Air Force Bal Bharti School. During his school days, he used to participate in drama and cultural events. But his first love was sports. He loved swimming very much. In 1982, when India was hosting the Asian Games, 19-year-old Rakeysh participated in swimming. With the dream of winning a medal in his eyes, he reached the final round, but could not get selected. This shook him. How did Rakeysh make it to the cinema? After leaving the sports field, Rakeysh entered the world of advertising. In the 1980s, he made hundreds of advertising films, in which his work for many brands was appreciated. This experience taught him the art of storytelling. In the year 2001, he made his first film 'Aks', in which actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpayee were in the lead roles. Although the film could not do wonders at the box office, it showed a glimpse of Rakeysh's directorial talent.
