Rakhi 2025: Overwhelmed By 15,000 Sisters, Khan Sir Joked 'Call The Doctor, Hands Numb'

Last Updated: While Khan Sir was getting Rakhi tied by all his sisters on stage, some girls called out asking about 'Bhabhi'. Khan Sir replied that Rakshabandhan is only for his sisters In a heartwarming display of camaraderie, Patna witnessed a unique celebration of Rakshabandhan orchestrated by the renowned educator Khan Sir. This year, over 15,000 girls came together to tie Rakhi to their beloved teacher, marking a significant rise in participation compared to previous years. Due to the overwhelming response, the event was held at the Sri Krishna Memorial Hall for the first time, a departure from the usual setting in Khan Sir's coaching centre. Khan Sir, known for his dedication to his students, arranged 156 different types of food items for the occasion, ensuring a festive atmosphere. The Rakhi-tying ceremony commenced at 10 am and continued until 1:30 pm, with Khan Sir sitting on stage as a long queue of girls awaited their turn. At one point, Khan Sir had so many Rakhis tied on his hands that they went numb. He even joked on the mic, asking to call a doctor because the blood had stopped flowing. But there was no real cause for concern, and the Rakhi-tying continued despite this. Local 18 spoke to several girls who praised Khan Sir. They said, 'Khan Sir is not just the best teacher but also like a brother. We feel safest in his classroom anywhere in Patna. Teaching us at such a low fee is a great gift." Some girls also said that on Rakshabandhan, they are receiving significant discounts on certain courses, which they consider a wonderful gift. Interestingly, Khan Sir does not have any biological sisters, yet he regards all his female students as his sisters and has been hosting Rakshabandhan celebrations since the beginning of his teaching career. Over time, the scale of the event has grown significantly, making Khan Sir a unique figure who receives thousands of Rakhis each year, embodying the spirit of brotherhood and dedication. view comments First Published: August 09, 2025, 17:39 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
