German ambassador to Libya, Ralph Tarraf, briefed Presidential Council's Head Mohammed Menfi on the outcomes of the recent meeting of the co-chairs of the four working groups stemming from the Berlin Process's International Follow-Up Committee. The meeting was held last Thursday at the UN Support Mission headquarters in Tripoli. According to the Presidential Council's media office, the briefing took place on Sunday at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli, as part of ongoing bilateral consultations aimed at supporting Libya's political settlement process. The media office reported that ambassador Tarraf provided a 'detailed update on the outcomes of the working group chairs' meeting,' which took place with the participation of UNSMIL. Participants in the Berlin working group meeting agreed on a new strategic framework to revive the process's four main tracks: political, security, economic, and humanitarian. The meeting also touched on efforts to reactivate joint coordination mechanisms, including the High Financial Committee, to unify the national budget, promote transparency and accountability in public revenues and expenditures, and finalize technical arrangements for the Referendum and National Inquiry Commissions. It also discussed the reactivation of the Constitutional Drafting Committee. Ambassador Tarraf praised the Presidential Council, under Menfi's leadership, for its efforts to end political division, unify state institutions, and strengthen Libya's regional and international presence.
