What happened next became part of cinematic history of Indian Cinema. We are sure that you must have identified her by now. If not, let us unravel the mystery for you. The Prominent Actress of the 80s Era Here, we are talking about Bollywood actress Padmini Kolhapure. The actress is best known for films like Pyaari Behna, Insaaf Ka Tarazu, Prem Rog, Pyaar Jhukta Nahin, Prawaas and many others. Meanwhile, the actress got her first role in Raj Kapoor's Satyam Shivam Sundaram in which she played role of teenager Rupa, which was immensely praised by movie lovers. When Padmini Kolhapure Refused To… In 1982, Padmini featured alongside Bollywood superstar Rishi Kapoor in Prem Rog, which turned out to be a monstrous success for her. In 1985, Raj Kapoor decided to feature Padmini in her next project Ram Teri Ganga Maili, as the two had a very amazing working experience together, but when she heard the script, she strictly refused the offer made by the greatest showman of Bollywood and said, 'Uncle mujhe maaf kariye, main ye nahin kar paungi', because there was a kissing scene in the film which made her uncomfortable. This made Raj Kapoor angry and hence he decided to never work with the actress again and gave her role to actress Mandakini. After its initial release, the film became the biggest talk of town and landed in some controversies for its kissing and bold sequences. However, this did not affect the film, which resulted in it becoming one of biggest blockbusters of that year and also made Mandakini an overnight superstar. When Padmini Opened Up About Leaving Ram Teri Ganga Maili After many years, during a session of Rajshri Unplugged, the actress opened up about the full incident. ' When Raj uncle told me about the film, there was a kissing scene in it, I had never done such roles, so I did not want to do a kissing scene. I had no problem working with Rajiv Kapoor, but I was not comfortable kissing on screen. That's why I rejected it.

Meet actress who dated underworld don, a filmmaker was allegedly killed because of her, she later married monk; Her name is...
Filmmaker, the showman of Bollywood, Raj Kapoor, redefined cinema through his path-breaking movies. He launched several actors and the list of heroines is bigger as they all have set the screen on fire. One of those actresses is Yasmeen Joseph Thakur. You must be wondering who she is. At the age of 16, Raj Kapoor discovered her and gave her the screen name Mandakini. Her first movie was Ram Teri Ganga Maili in 1985. She was paired opposite Rajiv Kapoor. For this movie, Mandakini also got Best Actress award. The scenes in the movie went viral as she was seen partially nude in two sequences. Mandakini linked with Dawood Ibrahim Apart from her professional life, she was also in the headlines for her personal life. There were reports that suggested the veteran actress was linked with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. They were romantically involved, said the source. Another report also claimed that Dawood and Mandakini were married, and they had a kid. Dawood reportedly killed a filmmaker who was not casting Mandakini as a lead actress in his film. Amid all this, the 1993 Bomb blast took place and Dawood was the key suspect in the case. He left Mumbai and shifted to Dubai. However, the actress went underground after the incident took place, and later she was given a clean chit in this case. Mandakini strongly denied the rumours of any affair with him. She clearly stated in an interview, 'I don't want people to connect me with Dawood any more or even think of that unfortunate episode. That's in the past now. I feel very bad that the media still wants to cash in on my name and make it as controversial as possible… I cleared my stand at that point of time. After some time, you get irritated. If you want to clean your image, it does not mean you have to give a statement every six months'. Mandakini married a monk After a few years, Mandakini followed a spiritual path and became a follower of Dalai Lama. After embracing Buddhism, she married former Buddhist monk, Dr. Kagyur T. Rinpoche Thakur. The couple have a son named Rabbil and a daughter Rabze Innaya. She became a yoga instructor and started running classes in Tibetan yoga.

Gehana Vasisth On House Arrest Ban, Asks Why Priyanka-Ranveer's Nude Scenes Went Unpunished
She continued, 'They are also the citizens of our respected country and are equally responsible for what they are showing to the public. They have fans in millions and the youth looks up to them. So kindly consider my request." Gehana also pointed out what she sees as a double standard, questioning why no action has been taken against public figures who have done similar bold scenes. 'When Priyanka Chopra does nude scenes in Hollywood films, or Radhika Apte does a topless scene in Sacred Games and Parched, or Mandakini did some bold scenes a long time ago (Ram Teri Ganga Maili), why were they not accused of spreading obscenity in society?" she asked. The actress, who was caught in the middle of a firestorm after a controversial clip from House Arrest went viral, also advocated for stronger censorship in the digital space. Gehana talked about the need for filmmakers to follow guidelines to avoid crossing boundaries. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has already issued summons to Ajaz Khan and Vibhu Agarwal, CEO of Ullu App, in response to the controversy. As of now, Ullu has not commented on the matter. Mumbai Police had earlier registered an FIR against Ajaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey, and others over alleged obscene content in the reality show House Arrest. The complaint was filed by Bajrang Dal activist Gautam Ravriya. The show sparked controversy after a scene showed host Ajaz Khan asking contestants to simulate sex positions on camera. The reality show, which follows a captivity-based format, streams on Ullu and features Khan as the host. Ajaz Khan quizzed a female contestant on sexual experiments. When she hesitated and admitted she wasn't familiar with sex positions, Ajaz called upon two other contestants to demonstrate a few on camera to help her 'understand." The entire segment was laced with suggestive dialogue and innuendos. In another clip from the same episode that has since gone viral on Twitter (now X), a group of female contestants were seen participating in a challenge where they were asked to remove their undergarments from beneath their clothes while the cameras were rolling.
