Alumni meet at Mavelikara Bishop Moore College on August 9
Under the leadership of the Mavelikara Bishop Moore College Alumni Association, a global reunion of former students (Rigama-25) will be held at the college on Saturday (August 9). The meet is organised as part of the college's diamond jubilee celebrations.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, vice-chairman of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math and an alumnus of the college, will inaugurate the event at 10 a.m. Bishop Moore College manager and CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese bishop Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian, Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cherian, film director Kamal, MLAs M.S. Arunkumar and Pramod Narayanan, Bishop Moore College Principal Ranjith Mathew Abraham, meet chairman K.G. Mukundan and others will speak.
From 11.30 a.m., meetings with former teachers (Mitra Sathram) will be held in various classrooms, while cultural programmes (Kalikkootam) will take place at the auditorium.
A Rangapuja by college students will be held at 2 p.m. It will be followed by a group dance by teachers, dances by Anjana P., Gatha Murali, and Ayona Ann Sebastian, a Kathakali performance by Meenakshi V. Nair, and the monodrama Kanakku Naarapilla by Alex Vallikunnam. A musical concert (Rigama Sarigama) featuring 15 distinguished alumni from different periods will be staged at 4 p.m.
